Have you noticed I love this stamp set? lol!  Well, at least I know the little girls who I make these cards for love it!!  This one was for another school friend of my daughter’s :)

I’ve used the cardstock Elegant Eggplant and Pretty in Pink.  Plus the inks White Craft, Black Staz On, Elegant Eggplant, Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery.  I wheeled the standard Dreams wheel in White Craft over the Elegant Eggplant cardstock (love the white on Eggplant!) and then I sponged on the pony’s background using the Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery.  I stamped the pony in Black Staz On and then cut out her out and coloured her in using my blender pens and ink pads.  A touch of two-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds sparkled her up!

The butterfly was made by using the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die – a little bit of two-way glue, a touch of Dazzling Diamonds and a little bling and away she flies!

And a close up of the sentiment, using the Oval and Scallop Oval punch with some non-SU bling.

Thanks for looking :)

Recently, we had a team day where we took a card in a box and made as many cards from boxes as we could on the day.  I managed to make 10 on the day!

This was my card in a  box:

I was inspired to make this card by SCS here.  It’s a gorgeous card, so please check out the link!  I altered the colours a little.  So I used Kraft as the base, Not Quite Navy for the scalloped edge strip, textured Sahara Sand for the paper pierced strip and I stamped the Medallion on Bella Bleu DSP in Not Quite Navy.  And I stamped the sentiment from Sincere Salutations in Not Quite Navy.  A touch of Dazzling Diamonds and the card is finished!

I’ve a few baby cards to show you today. The first two are from my embossing class the other night.

For these cards, everyone used the jumbo wheel with Nursery Letters and then embossed with Heat & Stick power and Dazzling Diamonds for a sparkling effect! Gosh, it looks even better in real life! Then we embossed the prams from Simple Somethings with silver embossing powder … and everyone could colour as they pleased to suit their events! I’ve coloured the baby girl’s card in Pretty in Pink using the Stampin’ Up! pastels …

I’ve coloured in the baby boy’s card using Bashful Blue from my Stampin’ Up! pastels …

This is a close up … I love the Heat & Stick plus Dazzling Diamonds effect, don’t you!?!

Then I had a card left over, so this is an additional card I made. This time I used the baby stamp from In the Stars (available in the Summer Mini) and stamped it in Versamark and then Barely Banana Ink … and then embossed it. I’ve used a metal edge tag to add elegance to the card and I used the Certainly Celery DSP to punch out the scallop circle that I’ve layered the baby stamp onto. I hope that makes sense!

And, lastly, white taffeta ribbon finished off all of the cards.

This is a little handbag that, again, we were shown how to make at Stampin’ Up!’s Regional Training in September.  Derrek from Stampin’ Up! (USA) gave us all the template … which is so simple!  It is made from a 12″x12″ piece of cardstock and some cardstock and ribbon to embellish.

The handbag below is my creation from Derrek’s template.  I’ve used Dashing DSP … which is only available to purchase until the end of the month.  The stamp sets I’ve used are Season of Joy and Short & Sweet …  the colours are simply awesome Christmas colours (don’t you think??!) … Real Red and Old Olive.  With the dash of Dazzling Diamonds (as always!!).  This is a close up below:

I love paper piercing the swirl from Season of Joy!

This is a picture of the whole handbag.  Apologies again for my camera.

And this is a picture of the bag that I made based pretty much 95% on the bag Derrek had on display at Regional Training.  Thanks Derrek!

I came across this ever-so-cute baby card a little while ago and then … no babies! So, now we have a new baby in the family (my cousin’s baby), I had the perfect reason to make this adorable onesie card … originally created and inspired by the talented Lauren Meader. You too can learn from Lauren because she kindly shared a tutorial for this card on her blog here.

In addition to making a onesie card … I also have the chance to play with my new Short & Sweet set (20% off this month) … perfect!!

I’ve used the colours Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac for this card … even on the flower! Of course, although it is not so noticeable in the photo, I have also used Dazzling Diamonds on the nappy pins. I hope it is a nice keepsake for mum and dad to keep for their new baby girl.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday. I hope all the lovely mums out there enjoy their day and are spoilt well!

At my technique class the other night for Mother’s Day I had a few sample cards that my ladies could choose from. So, no one walked away with the same card that night. There were quite a few different cards! But, importantly, everyone had a turn at embossing and using my new crop-a-dile. We embossed the background paper, the En Francais back stamp, and we embossed on vellum paper the flowers using Petal Prints. And we had eyelets to set everywhere!

This card below used Dazzling Diamonds and Heat & Stick powder for the En Francais background stamp – everyone chose to use the Dazzling Diamonds!! How can you avoid that gorgeous sparkle, heh?! Everyone was able to personalise their card because they could choose their words from Life Definitions or Everyday Flexible Phrases. So many combinations to choose from! One popular stamp combination was used on this card … “Birthday Wish” …

The main word definition was stamped over the flowers from Boho Backgrounds (stamped off). Gosh, I love Boho Backgrounds!!

This last card below I made at the end of the night and it was simplier (I was a bit tired by then!)

Which card do you like best?

Subscribe to my blog and newsletter today so you know when my next technique class is on. Then you too can learn a new technique because you will know when it is on!

What do you think of my invitation I made for my New Catalogue Launch party?  Do you like the butterfly or the flowers best?  I love it all!  That’s because I love the stamp set ‘Time Well Spent’ used to make it.  It is a Level 3 Hostess set in the new Catalogue, but it was our Christmas present from Shelli at Stampin’ Up! for all demonstrators last year.   So generous of Shelli!

This is a close-up of the butterfly coloured in with Tempting Turquoise and Dazzling Diamonds.

My invitations are in snail mail today.  Please do consider this your invitation to come along as well.   You need to book in Monday 14th April 2008, 7.30pm onwards in your diaries at 7 Parklea Drive, Parklea, NSW, Australia.

It will be a night of fun with door prizes, make and take projects, specials, champagne and nibbles. Bring a friend along and have a fun night out experiencing something different!

See you then!
