Short & Sweet Onesie Baby Card

I came across this ever-so-cute baby card a little while ago and then … no babies! So, now we have a new baby in the family (my cousin’s baby), I had the perfect reason to make this adorable onesie card … originally created and inspired by the talented Lauren Meader. You too can learn from Lauren because she kindly shared a tutorial for this card on her blog here.

In addition to making a onesie card … I also have the chance to play with my new Short & Sweet set (20% off this month) … perfect!!

I’ve used the colours Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac for this card … even on the flower! Of course, although it is not so noticeable in the photo, I have also used Dazzling Diamonds on the nappy pins. I hope it is a nice keepsake for mum and dad to keep for their new baby girl.

Emboss Resist Technique – 4th Birthday card

A beautiful little girl we know turns 4 next week and this is the card I’ve made for her.  I hope she likes it!

I’ve used the emboss resist technique for the butterflies from Priceless.  If you are on my monthly newsletter list then you will receive a tutorial on how to do emboss resist.  One of the many advantages of joining my monthly newsletter!

The close-ups below will do the card greater justice

I’ve used the colours Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black.  I love the textured card stock – it looks great!  I used Best Friends numbers for the number 4 and then my Lovely Lilac marker pen to write the “th”.

I also love the Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone brads … these look amazing!

And I tried a new way to use my marker pens!  I used my Tempting Turquoise marker pen to colour the edge of my grosgrain ribbon.  What do you think?  Yet another great use for Stampin’ Up! marker pens!

Last week, last chance …

Well, two catalogues come to an end on 31 March 2008. The 2007-2008 Idea Book & Catalogue comes to an end. And the Summer Mini Catalogue also comes to an end.
I made this card using the Long-time Friend stamp set and the Flirty ribbon from the Summer Mini Catalogue (I just love Flirty ribbon and highly recommend it).
To show you how different the same image from that stamp set can look, for the card below, I stamped the background with the Floral background stamp (fortunately, Floral has not retired).

This is your last chance to order from both of these beautiful catalogues. From 1 April 2008 the 2008-2009 Idea Book & Catalogue will be current. If you would like to place an order, please check to make sure what you want to order is still in stock here, and email me at rachel.capps@yahoo.com.au before 31 March 2008.

Make and Takes for Launch Party

These are two of the make and takes that we will be making at my Sale-A-Bration Launch party on Friday night (anytime from 7.30pm, 18th January 2008). Why not come along and make your own to take home?

Thank you with Bud Basics and jumbo wheel

This first card doesn’t have to be a ‘thank you’ card. You can use any stamp from the ‘Warmest Regards’ stamp set to make your card your own.

Wedding Congratulations gift tag size

This card is gift tag size and would be cute and special to use as an ‘acceptance’ to a wedding you might be about to attend. Of course, it could be a wedding card too!

We will be making one other card but it will be a surprise for the night. Why not come along and see what it is?
