Perfect Plum Pony Party

On the weekend my daughter was invited to a school friend’s birthday party.  My Bella met birthday-girl Bella by chance at a local park before they even started school, so it’s lovely for Bella to be invited to Bella’s 6th birthday!  This is the card I made for her:

It’s hard to believe no one will be able to buy Perfect Plum from Stampin’ Up! anymore after the end of this month (if not sooner!).   And I’d forgotten how lovely a colour it is.  For this card I used Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Certainly Celery (and some retired Certainly Celery DSP).

Although we’ll have no more Perfect Plum come September, SNEEK PEEK we will have this gorgeous butterfly – a Big Shot Bigz Die – Beautiful Butterflies.  I sponged the edge of the butterfly with Perfect Plum ink and edged it with Dazzling Diamonds.  A few pearls finished it off.

I think I love this pony as much as my daughter!  There are so many variations to make with her that I must keep making more cards to try more combinations!  For this pony, I stamped in Basic Black ink and the used my blender pens to colour in the main and tail with Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Certainly Celery inks.  I then cut the pony out and stuck her on a sponged background (Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery) with dimensionals.

The sentiment is also from Pony Party and I stamped it in Perfect Plum and punched it out using the Word Window punch.  I punched out a piece of Pale Plum cardstock with the Large Oval punch and sponged the edges with Perfect Plum ink.  Then I punched out a piece of Perfect Plum cardstock and layered them together.  Three pearls finished off the sentiment.

I really loved how this card turned out.  I based it off a card I’d made earlier here, but I really love this colour combination!  If you love it too, please email me asap to order your Perfect Plum before it’s gone forever!!

Two out of three FREE cards made ….

These were two of the cards three cards we made on Monday night.

This first card was the trickest of all the cards but I had a few talented cardmakers attend and I wanted to challenge them a little (I hope I did!!).  The new rhinestone brads are stunning and I think the Turquoise brad really made this card.  Of course, I rarely make a card for people that doesn’t have Dazzling Diamonds too.  So you can see the flower sparkling away!   This card was inspired by another card on Splitcoaststampers … check out the other card here.  Thank you for the inspiration!

Time Well Spent, Think Happy Thoughts

The second card was my own design.  I came up with it by deciding I wanted to use our new Wild Wasabi Textured card stock, my new En Francais background stamp (I love it!) and my scallop circle punch (I love it the most!).  Plus I knew I wanted a gift card size card.  I only needed to add Boho Backgrounds, Priceless and Everyday Flexible Phrases to the mix to finish off the card!  phew!

It may sound full of everything, but it was really easy to make … and everyone had the chance to play with my new brayer and my new scallop punch!

Boho Backgrounds gift card

Watch my blog over the next few days and I’ll post the third card we made too.

If you would like to play with a scallop circle punch too … then why not place an order with me today?  You can place an order with me from anywhere in Australia.  It’s really easy to do.  Just email me and ask how.

So many thank you cards!

You can always tell when the new year has settled in … life gets busier. So, with a few workshops done recently and a few more on the way, here are some more thank you cards I have made for my hostesses. The card below uses the stamp set, Merci, which is one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp sets you can only receive if you place an order over $100 BEFORE 29 FEBRUARY 2008.

Time is counting down for these sets to be gone forever … so if you love it and want it, order today!

The gorgeous Flirty pink ribbon and stunning chocolate/vanilla spotted paper will also be gone soon, but you have until 31 March 2008 to place your orders for them. A good reminder for your diary, the Summer Mini Catalogue ends next month!

Merci

I love the next stamp set. Simply Said is one of my favourites. I’m also loving the colours Rose Red and Regal Rose at the moment … don’t you agree, they look great with Certainly Celery? And watch out for those Dazzling Diamonds … they’re ever present in my cards 🙂
