These are the cards I designed for my last Stamp-a-Stack. One of the ladies coming along wanted to make a wedding card, so I tailored the SAS around Tempting Turquoise and Basic Grey. I thought the Tempting Turquoise lended a real “Tiffany’s” feel to the card … what do you think?
And the second card was designed for boys 🙂 And, so, you can see how a simple layout and colour scheme can be used for two entirely different cards.
The stamp sets I used for the wedding card were Fun & Fast Notes, Together Forever and Sincere Salutations. Although you can’t see the Sincere Salutations, it was an option for anyone who wanted to make another type of card with Fun & Fast Notes and Sincere Salutations.
The boy’s card used the stamp sets Choo Choo (available in the Spring Mini), Short & Sweet and Fun & Fast Notes.
It was also my brother’s birthday last month. And this is another card I’ve made using the Outlaw Designer Series Paper.
I managed to make this card without a Really Rust Ink pad … (on my wish list!) … I did use the Really Rust marker pen though, which helped out! I like these colours for a masculine card … Chocolate Chip, Really Rust and Very Vanilla.
I must admit, I did go on “punch” overload with this card … I have used the Large Star, Star, Designer Label, 1 3/8″ circle and Photo Corners. It didn’t seem like so many when I was making the card!
It has been a quiet week on the card making front, I’m sorry. You’ll see why soon 🙂
This is a birthday card I made for an old friend’s son’s 4th birthday, whose party we went to today.
I honestly couldn’t put a ribbon on a little boy’s birthday card … it didn’t go with images of Batman or Spiderman!! I’ve used the colours Ballet Blue, Real Red and Basic Black for a more masculine card. The stamps I have used are from Birthday Best, Canvas background and the Level 1 Hostess stamp set, Party Punch. I’ve done lots of sponging on this card and paper piercing too! I hope you like it (and I hope the birthday boy liked it!).
This was a card I made for a special boy in our family who turned 5 last week. The birthday presents were stamped by Jo with Birthday Whimsey – retired (part of candy I received from one of Jo’s launch parties, thanks Jo!). The tempting turquoise card was stamped with the star from Fun & Fast Notes. And the number ‘5’ is from Best Friends Numbers. I really like this colour combo of Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Real Red … I’m rediscovering Tempting Turquoise at the moment! I forgot how great it is!!
