Priceless Boho Bag-a-lope

This is the Bag-a-lope we made at my eScape night last night. It is amazing what you can do with a some card stock, a few stamps and an envelope, isn’t it?

We used Pretty in Pink card stock and stamped with Pretty in Pink ink Stampin’ Up!’s Priceless swirly stamp (it’s gorgeous, isn’t it?). Then we stamped Boho Backgrounds twice, once in Pretty in Pink and once in Certainly Celery on Whisper White card stock.

The punches then came out! We used the slit punch for the corners of the Certainly Celery Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Certainly Celery paper. We then punched out our Boho Backgrounds two stamped images with the 1 inch circle and the 1 3/8 inch circle punches. We layered them on top of the scallop circle punch and there you have it! Pop it all on top of Certainly Celery DSP and Certainly Celery cardstock and we’re almost done 🙂

Of course, except for the top of the bag. We used the corner rounder punch for the scalloped effect and then the word window punch (yes! that’s right!) to make the handle. Pretty cool punching, heh!

And what a great bag-a-lope you can use for a gift bag and coordinate with your card.

If you would like to order any punches, they are a great tool and make card making a breeze! Contact me today to order your new punch. Have a great day!

Double the temptations for June

FREE stamp and scrap night – Friday 23 May

How do you like this birthday card?  My sister loves purple! So when I borrowed an Elegant Eggplant ink pad at our training the other week and used it to stamp En Francais onto Whisper White paper – I knew where my sister’s birthday card had begun!

Do you have any upcoming birthdays?  If the answer is yes!  Then why not come along to my FREE stamp and scrap night this Friday.  You can prepare a few birthday cards for the months ahead!  Perhaps you have a birthday you want to scrap!  All you have to do is bring along your own projects including paper and embellishments.  That’s it!  You are welcome to use my stamp sets, ink pads and punches to help you along.  I’ll supply coffee, tea and lollies.

The night is simply an excuse to get together and create together.  Let me know asap if you can come along to Parklea on Friday night.  It will be fun!  Bookings are essential.

Fourth Birthday

What a great party!  Yesterday my daughter and I went to our neighbours’ daughter’s fourth birthday party.  It was the first time we had met a lot of their family and what great fun they all were.  It was a much later night than expected!  This is the birthday card I made for Jayda …

Do you like the way I’ve done the cut-in corners?  Well, thanks to a tip from Alisa Tilsner, I’ve used the slit punch for this corner effect.  Very cool!!  Thanks Alisa!  And, did you know as of Monday 31 March 2008, you won’t be able to buy from Stampin’ Up! the Fresh Fillers background stamps or the Flirty wide pink ribbon I’ve used.  They end with the end of the old catalogue and the Summer mini catalogue.  If you’d like to order any of these products, do so now or forever hold your peace 🙂

Have a great weekend!

Last week, last chance …

Well, two catalogues come to an end on 31 March 2008. The 2007-2008 Idea Book & Catalogue comes to an end. And the Summer Mini Catalogue also comes to an end.
I made this card using the Long-time Friend stamp set and the Flirty ribbon from the Summer Mini Catalogue (I just love Flirty ribbon and highly recommend it).
To show you how different the same image from that stamp set can look, for the card below, I stamped the background with the Floral background stamp (fortunately, Floral has not retired).

This is your last chance to order from both of these beautiful catalogues. From 1 April 2008 the 2008-2009 Idea Book & Catalogue will be current. If you would like to place an order, please check to make sure what you want to order is still in stock here, and email me at rachel.capps@yahoo.com.au before 31 March 2008.
