Snow Swirled Christmas Cards

I was fortunate enough to play with the Snow Swirled stamp set a few weeks ago (thanks, Kathie!).  I made these Christmas cards in less than half an hour!  They sure were quick cards 🙂

I used the colours Night of Navy and Silver.  The silver snow swirls are heat embossed with silver embossing powder, and I’ve added some rhinestone brads to sparkle things up.  I’ve got to have bling,  especially at Christmas, lol!

I really loved this stamp set, the snow flakes embossed so perfectly.  Lovely!

Last of the Christmas cards …

Here are a few more Christmas cards I made for friends and family …

I made a card like the one above last year, except a different colour.  This one is Riding Hood Red and uses the stamp sets Season of Joy and Short & Sweet.  I love the Riding Hood Red tafetta ribbon!

I wanted to try a different colour scheme for a few Christmas cards, so this colour combo above is Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Very Vanilla and Pumpkin Pie.  I rolled the jumbo wheel Classic Stars in Versamark, stamped the sentiment in Old Olive from Best Yet, and the Christmas Tree from Fun & Fast Notes, coloured in with a Pumpkin Pie marker pen.

This one is similar to the colour combo above, minus the Sahara Sand.  Same stamps.  Can you make out the watermark of Classic Stars on the Very Vanilla in Versamark?  It’s a bit too subtle for my liking.  What do you think?  Compared to the card above, I also think I prefer stamping the Christmas tree and sentiment in Staz On Black better than stamping it in Old Olive.  It’s a stronger picture.  I wonder if you agree?

These two cards are the same design as from my last post inspired by Jenny from Stamping Moments.  The base colours are the same, WW, Kiwi Kiss and Real Red, and the ribbon colour on the top is Chocolate Chip and the one below is Baja Breeze.  The stamp sets are Tree Trimmings, Spotlight on Christmas, Best Yet and Season of Joy.

Christmas Stamp-a-stack cards 2009

These are some of the designs I used for the Christmas stamp-a-stacks I ran for customers/friends last year.

This one is one of my personal favourites and was inspired by Nancy Littrell on SCS here.  It was made using the masking technique, sponging using the colours Pacific Point and Pink Pirouette.  The stamp sets are Lovely as a Tree and Many Merry Messages.

These two were inspired by Albongo on SCS here, using the stamp set Pocket Silhouettes, plus Best Yet and Short & Sweet.  Again, these cards used the masking technique.  And the colours are Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss and Real Red.  Plus, you can’t have a Christmas card without lots of Dazzling Diamonds!

The next one is a subtle colour combo, using Sahara Sand and Bashful Blue.  The stamp set is Season of Joy – so versatile!

The last card uses the colours Pacific Point, Baja Breeze and Real Red which was inspired by the incredibly talented Jenny at Stamping Moments here.  The stamp sets are Tree Trimmings, Spotlight on Christmas for the swirl on Whisper White and Season of Joy for the greeting.

Winter Brights Christmas card

Here are two Christmas cards I made for lovely friends, and they are cards made with no stamping!

On the first card, everything I have used comes from the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin’ kit, except the Ice rhinestone brad, the white aluminum square metal edge tags and the Dazzling Diamonds!

On the second card, again, everything I have used comes from the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin’ kit, except the Rose Red 1″ Double Stitched ribbon (from the Summer Mini), the Ice rhinestone brad, the white aluminum square metal edge tags and the Dazzling Diamonds!

It doesn’t show up well in the photos, but the Bashful Blue card base is textured cardstock (which I love!) and, naturally, this is also included in Winter Bright.  Don’t you love the colours?  I think they’re really fresh and festive.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Can you believe it is only 6 weeks until Christmas? It is time to believe!

These are a couple of cards I made the other night with my good friend, Michele. Now, I’m sure I’ve seen this design somewhere else, but try as I might, a search of SCS and the web has not uncovered a design owner. So, if it is your design, please let me know! And thank you for the inspiration!

This is a really simple card to make (it had to be simple, it was a late night!). We used the So Swirly jumbo wheel and then the little poinsettia stamp from Season of Joy. The greeting is from the versatile Short & Sweet stamp set.

Remember, the Spring Mini Catalogue finishes at the end of this month i.e. 30 November 2008. So if you like Season of Joy … contact me now!

I tried out two different colours to see which I liked more … and I tried out gold brads and silver eyelets, again to see which I liked more. This is the Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate card with silver eyelets …

And this is the Wild Wasabi and Real Red card with gold brads …

I will use this card in a couple of Stamp-a-Stacks I have booked this month. If you were to participate in a Stamp-a-Stack, which card would you prefer to make? The Real Red and gold brads or the Purely Pomegranate and Silver eyelets? Let me know.

And if you are interested in making some hand made cards for Christmas, why not book a Stamp-a-Stack with me? You make 10 cards of 2 different designs and enjoy some fun with friends! There are only evenings left in my calendar, so let me know soon to book a date. You will need to live within a reasonable distance of Parklea, Sydney, Australia, that’s all! Then you too could make 5 of these cards!

More Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Here are a couple of other Christmas cards I will use at stamp-a-stacks this year.  The first is another complete case from Splitcoaststampers from here (thanks for creating a great card!) …

I really love this next card.  I love its simplicity.  And I love the Dazzling Diamonds!

In fact, I think the first card needs Dazzling Diamonds too!  What do you think?

Both cards use the Season of Joy stamp set available in the Spring Mini catalogue.  It is an awesome stamp set!  There are so many different ways you can create your own Christmas cards from one stamp set.  Email me today to order your own Season of Joy stamp set.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Christmas is just over 3 months away and already Coles has started to fill its shelves with Christmas food! I think now is a good time to start planning your Christmas cards. This weekend is my first Christmas stamp-a-stack for the year in Baulkham Hills and these are the two cards (I’m pretty sure!!) we will be making. I have a couple of other cards I will post tomorrow too to choose from …

This card is completely cased from Splitcoaststampers but try as I might I couldn’t find it again, thank you for the inspiration whomever originally created this card (found it! go here)! I love the colours which I think are great for Christmas … Real Red and Wild Wasabi!

The second card was also inpsired from splitcoaststampers. Look at this link to see the original card here. Thank you Lynda for the inspiration! I love the soft tone of this card. I used Sahara Sand with Soft Sky. Great colours!

I hope the ladies on Sunday love these cards as much as I do!

If you would like to book a stamp-a-stack with me you just need to organise a minimum of 4 friends together and you too could be making these cards one evening catching up with family and friends! Email me today to book a date as my available dates are booking up.
