Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

dsc04578

This is one of the cards we made at a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack class the other night.  It was a great card to make because I provided a few different stamp sets i.e. Season of Joy, Snowflake Spot and Snow Flurries and everyone could tailer their bauble and have five different cards, albeit the same colour and layout.  And a touch of Dazzling Diamonds made the bauble sparkle!

This was the other card we made (which I have posted earlier) but the card below, instead of a bow, I used a Styled Silver hodgepodge buckle … and a rhinestone brad.  I really love the buckle … everyone had the chance to add one buckle to one of their cards on the night!

If you would like to make some Christmas cards why not book a night with me (asap!) or book to come along to my house on Friday 5 December 2008.

Thanks for looking 🙂

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Can you believe it is only 6 weeks until Christmas? It is time to believe!

These are a couple of cards I made the other night with my good friend, Michele. Now, I’m sure I’ve seen this design somewhere else, but try as I might, a search of SCS and the web has not uncovered a design owner. So, if it is your design, please let me know! And thank you for the inspiration!

This is a really simple card to make (it had to be simple, it was a late night!). We used the So Swirly jumbo wheel and then the little poinsettia stamp from Season of Joy. The greeting is from the versatile Short & Sweet stamp set.

Remember, the Spring Mini Catalogue finishes at the end of this month i.e. 30 November 2008. So if you like Season of Joy … contact me now!

I tried out two different colours to see which I liked more … and I tried out gold brads and silver eyelets, again to see which I liked more. This is the Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate card with silver eyelets …

And this is the Wild Wasabi and Real Red card with gold brads …

I will use this card in a couple of Stamp-a-Stacks I have booked this month. If you were to participate in a Stamp-a-Stack, which card would you prefer to make? The Real Red and gold brads or the Purely Pomegranate and Silver eyelets? Let me know.

And if you are interested in making some hand made cards for Christmas, why not book a Stamp-a-Stack with me? You make 10 cards of 2 different designs and enjoy some fun with friends! There are only evenings left in my calendar, so let me know soon to book a date. You will need to live within a reasonable distance of Parklea, Sydney, Australia, that’s all! Then you too could make 5 of these cards!

More Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Here are a couple of other Christmas cards I will use at stamp-a-stacks this year.  The first is another complete case from Splitcoaststampers from here (thanks for creating a great card!) …

I really love this next card.  I love its simplicity.  And I love the Dazzling Diamonds!

In fact, I think the first card needs Dazzling Diamonds too!  What do you think?

Both cards use the Season of Joy stamp set available in the Spring Mini catalogue.  It is an awesome stamp set!  There are so many different ways you can create your own Christmas cards from one stamp set.  Email me today to order your own Season of Joy stamp set.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Christmas is just over 3 months away and already Coles has started to fill its shelves with Christmas food! I think now is a good time to start planning your Christmas cards. This weekend is my first Christmas stamp-a-stack for the year in Baulkham Hills and these are the two cards (I’m pretty sure!!) we will be making. I have a couple of other cards I will post tomorrow too to choose from …

This card is completely cased from Splitcoaststampers but try as I might I couldn’t find it again, thank you for the inspiration whomever originally created this card (found it! go here)! I love the colours which I think are great for Christmas … Real Red and Wild Wasabi!

The second card was also inpsired from splitcoaststampers. Look at this link to see the original card here. Thank you Lynda for the inspiration! I love the soft tone of this card. I used Sahara Sand with Soft Sky. Great colours!

I hope the ladies on Sunday love these cards as much as I do!

If you would like to book a stamp-a-stack with me you just need to organise a minimum of 4 friends together and you too could be making these cards one evening catching up with family and friends! Email me today to book a date as my available dates are booking up.

Fallout from Christmas Stamp-A-Stacks

Happy New Year to everyone!

I trust you are beginning to feel replenished after the chaos of the Christmas and New Year break. It was a busy couple of months before Christmas and as I catch my breath, I wanted to share with you some of the cards made during classes I ran for friends and family leading up to Christmas.

Did you receive your Christmas card from me?

My apologies too, despite my attempts to resize the photos down so they will fit this Blog, they do not. I will endeavour to rectify the problem as I learn the ropes!

Nice & Narrow Tree

Snowflake Trio

Punch card

Glad Tidings Square

Celebrate Bravo Burgandy

Celebrate Night of Navy

I couldn’t decide on which colour was nicer for the above card … thank you, Jo, for the design behind this card!

Big Snowflake

Kraft Christmas squares

In Any Event Night of Navy

In Any Event Old Olive

Again, my greatest problem, choosing which colour looks best. Thank you, Merryl, for the design behind this card!

If you would like to know the details of any cards and how they were made, please email me at rachel.capps@yahoo.com.au and I will fill you in. As Christmas is over for another year, I didn’t think anyone would be making Christmas cards just yet to need to know details …

I will be running more classes during the year: valentine’s day, birthday, children’s parties, easter, mother’s day, father’s day etc, so please contact me if you would like me to visit you and host a class for you!  Watch my blog to see samples of what you could make, I’ll be updating my blog all the time!
