Have you noticed I love this stamp set? lol! Well, at least I know the little girls who I make these cards for love it!! This one was for another school friend of my daughter’s 🙂
I’ve used the cardstock Elegant Eggplant and Pretty in Pink. Plus the inks White Craft, Black Staz On, Elegant Eggplant, Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. I wheeled the standard Dreams wheel in White Craft over the Elegant Eggplant cardstock (love the white on Eggplant!) and then I sponged on the pony’s background using the Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. I stamped the pony in Black Staz On and then cut out her out and coloured her in using my blender pens and ink pads. A touch of two-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds sparkled her up!
The butterfly was made by using the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die – a little bit of two-way glue, a touch of Dazzling Diamonds and a little bling and away she flies!
And a close up of the sentiment, using the Oval and Scallop Oval punch with some non-SU bling.
This is another card made with Pony Party and its complementary wheel, Dreams. I’ve made this ready-to-go for one of my daughter’s school friends, just so I can avoid my usual making a card at the last minute! Do you prepare ahead or are you a last minute stamper?
I used the colours Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette for this card. I stamped the pony in Rich Razzleberry and then used a blender pen with the Pink Pirouette ink pad to colour in the pony (and the same for the pony’s mane, tail and hooves in Rich Razzleberry). I stamped the grass with Old Olive and I wheeled Dreams in Pink Pirouette on Pink Pirouette paper for a subtle tone on tone effect and background.
And for a touch of magic – some white chunky sprinkles are stuck to the pony’s wings using Tombow glue.
I’ve used the Scallop Oval punch and layered over it the large oval punch with the sentiment stamped in Rich Razzleberry. The ribbon is the finishing touch!
Yeah! The Stampin’ Up! BIG SHOT has arrived in Australia!! And exclusive dies, and clear-mount rubber stamps, and new style punches, and 3 new In Colors!!
I’m sure you already know that the new Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue starts today … and it is FULL of amazing products!! You can check it out here. And check out my specials on the right hand column!
This is a card I made as a swap for a recent and lovely training day. I had to have this stamp set from the new Mini … Pony Party! My 5 year old daughter has stamped it more than I have, lol! As I made this card for a swap, I had the chance to play with a few variations. All the swaps were made using the colours Pretty in Pink and Elegant Eggplant. I’ve masked the pony to give a eggplant-night sky. I also masked the wings, twice. The difference on this card is that I’ve coloured in the pony’s mane with my marker pens.
On every card I also used the Dreams coordinating wheel in White Craft ink on the background Elegant Eggplant card stock. The difference on this card is that I’ve coloured in the pony’s mane with my blender pens.
I used Dazzling Diamonds on every card too – how can there be no bling on a magical card?!? The difference on this card is that I’ve sponged Pretty in Pink in the sky and coloured in the stars with Bashful Blue.
This is a box I made for one of my lovely hostesses, as a thank you for arranging a stamp-a-stack at her home last month.
This scallop envelope box is a sneak peek of a few lovely products that will be available in the new Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue that starts on 1 April 2010. The box is made using the BIG SHOT (yeah! you too can purchase the Big Shot from Stampin’ Up after 1 April 2010!!). I’ve used the Stampin’ Up! Scallop Envelope Bigz Dies with the Big Shot to make this box. There is a yummy new In Color available from 1 April 2010 – Melon Mambo. And coordinating ribbon will be available too – don’t you love the polka dots? The sentiment has been also stamped in the new Melon Mambo ink.
How lovely is the sentiment? It’s from another Sale-a-bration stamp set, Whimiscal Words. I love the font too! Remember, you only have until 31 March to place your $100 or more order to receive a free Sale-a-bration stamp set!
This is the side on view of the box. The Designer Series Paper is from the current Summer Mini Catalogue. Doesn’t the Kaleidoscope DSP look great with Lovely Lilac and Melon Mambo?
This close up (below) shows off the elegant SU Filigree brads and rhinestone brads. My favourites!
Inside the box I have some yummy chocolates in a SU cellophane bag that I also stamped, using White Staz On ink and the new Dreams wheel. The new Dreams wheel will be available in the upcoming Autumn/Winter Mini on 1 April 2010.
