As promised, this is another card I made using the emboss resist technique. I love the birdcage from Happy Moments that I’ve used on this card! The birdcage is sooo sweeeet 🙂 And I also love the “hello” sentiment, from the Hello Again stamp set. Today is also the last day of the Summer Mini Catalogue, and so it’s also the last day you can purchase Hello Again. The flowers on the background were sparkled up with a touch of Tombow glue and some Olive Fine Supernova glitter – I love bling!
This is another card from the same class – I encourage trying different images and products in classes from what I have available. In this card, I changed the Fine Supernova glitter to Orange. Naturally, the Orange coordinates perfectly with this card!
This is a card I made for an embossing class the other week. We used the stamp sets Eastern Blooms and Whimsical Words (and a few other stamp sets – I’ll show you soon).
The colours we used are Really Rust, So Saffron and Whisper White. We dabbed a touch of Tombow glue at the centre of each flower in the background and then sprinkled Chunky glitter. Love the bling! I also love the sponged effect around the white embossed flowers, don’t you?
I made this cute-as Box in a Bag for someone special, and the sort of person that at Christmas, who simply appreciates you being around and doesn’t want or need gifts. I popped a few chocolates inside in a cello bag with a handmade card, and that was the present.
I used the Designer Series Paper, Tree Trimmings (no longer available) and stamped the flowers from Eastern Blooms. The centre of the flowers are dazzled up with Chunky Sprinkles – currently available in the Inventory Clearance Sale for a bargain price!
If you’d like to have a go at making the Box in a Bag yourself, then check out the tutorial here.
It has been a while since I’ve had the time for a Kristina Werner Colour Challenge … and I didn’t have time today either, but I had to make time because I simply adore these colours … and the image!!
So, this is my attempt … using Eastern Blooms and Think Happy Thoughts. I forever struggle to find the right place for good light to take my photos at home, so I have two photos! The first, taken in morning light …
the second taken at twilight …
Here is a close up of the flower branch … I embossed the branches with black embossing powder, so it shines … in morning light …
and at twilight …
Here is a close up of the ‘Happy Birthday’ from Think Happy Thoughts, with a flower cut out from Eastern Blooms, a Rhinestone brad and Dazzling Diamonds … in morning light …
and at twilight …
I’m putting this card away for someone very special …
Well, it’s 2009 and it’s time to put up a calendar or two! These are calendars I’ve made recently and they were so easy to do (thanks to how easy it is to coordinate SU colours). I will have to make some more! Everyone who came to my Summer Mini and Sale-a-bration launch party received one to take home for free too.
I’ve used the Bali Breeze DSP available in the Summer Mini catalogue out now … and Eastern Blooms coordinates with it perfectly. They were made for each other! I’ve added some lovely SU ribbon and accessories and that’s it!
This colour combo for the stamped flowers and ribbon is Chocolate Chip and Taken With Teal.

This is a card I made last week for a very special lady I work with. My friend is always offering to help others with their work and she is a kind, smiling, tireless, hard-worker and all round great person. We couldn’t do without her! Anyway, the week before she had done something extra out-of-the-way for me and I simply had to acknowledge her kindness with a card. And this is it!
The colours I used were inspired from a colour challenge run by Alana Gallagher from The Inklings cyberstamp. They are Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Rose Red. The new Bali Breeze DSP fitted perfectly into the colour challenge!
This is a close-up of the Styled Silver hodgepodge and rhinestone brads I used … the Styled Silver just lifts a card from wow! to WOW! Don’t you think?
The stamp sets I’ve used are Life Definitions, Everyday Flexible Phrases and tucked away as stamped backgrounds on the Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise papers you’ll see a tiny bit of Eastern Blooms from the Summer Mini too!
