2 days to go …

Well, on 17 March it will be St Patrick’s Day … and it is also my husband’s birthday. So, this is the card I’ve made for him … and how handy was the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Polka Dot Punches!! I was completely inspired by Splitcoaststampers for this card here. I’ve also used the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Yummy, for the sentiment “with love” and my “Happy Birthday” is from God’s Blessings. And the background stamp I’ve used is En Francais. My only regret with this card is that I should have stamped the “Happy Birthday” a little lower 😦 But, otherwise, I think this has to be the best birthday card I’ve made for Shane yet, especially seeing as it is also St Pat’s Day!!  Oh, and the colour is Wild Wasabi through and through!

As you no doubt know, I love embellishments! And so there are a few on this card: a square rhinestone brad, Antique Brass hodgepodge, Wild Wasabi stitched grosgrain, black and white gingham and linen thread.

I hope you like this idea!

Remember, Sale-a-bration finishes for the year on Saturday, so if you have an order of $100 or more, then now is the time to place it with me … so you can have a free Sale-a-bration stamp set to go with it!

Mother’s Day Class – Monday 5th May

How would you like to learn a new technique?  Well, come along to my mother’s day technique class on Monday night at 7.30pm.

I’ll be showing everyone who comes how to use a heat tool and embossing powder … we’ll love watching the WOW magic of turning powder to shine!  We will make one mother’s day card, or you will be able to alter the card to someone else very special, whatever suits you.  The cost is only $10 with all materials included as well as the envelope that you can stamp to match your card.

Petal Prints

This card is an example of the type of card we will be making (my apologies for the poor lighting in the photo).  I made this card using the En Francais background, Boho Backgrounds and Petal Prints.  The Petal Prints flowers are embossed with white embossing powder on vellum cardstock.  It is really easy to cut out flowers on vellum paper!  I also used my new crop-a-dile to set the pretty in pink eyelet on the round tab punch ‘for my mother’, the words were stamped using Everyday Flexible Phrases.

I think everyone who comes to my class on Monday night will also get to play with my crop-a-dile.  It is sooo easy to use!!  Bookings are essential, so email me today.

Two out of three FREE cards made ….

These were two of the cards three cards we made on Monday night.

This first card was the trickest of all the cards but I had a few talented cardmakers attend and I wanted to challenge them a little (I hope I did!!).  The new rhinestone brads are stunning and I think the Turquoise brad really made this card.  Of course, I rarely make a card for people that doesn’t have Dazzling Diamonds too.  So you can see the flower sparkling away!   This card was inspired by another card on Splitcoaststampers … check out the other card here.  Thank you for the inspiration!

Time Well Spent, Think Happy Thoughts

The second card was my own design.  I came up with it by deciding I wanted to use our new Wild Wasabi Textured card stock, my new En Francais background stamp (I love it!) and my scallop circle punch (I love it the most!).  Plus I knew I wanted a gift card size card.  I only needed to add Boho Backgrounds, Priceless and Everyday Flexible Phrases to the mix to finish off the card!  phew!

It may sound full of everything, but it was really easy to make … and everyone had the chance to play with my new brayer and my new scallop punch!

Boho Backgrounds gift card

Watch my blog over the next few days and I’ll post the third card we made too.

If you would like to play with a scallop circle punch too … then why not place an order with me today?  You can place an order with me from anywhere in Australia.  It’s really easy to do.  Just email me and ask how.
