Sweet Treats New Catalogue Launch party

Well, it’s been over a month since my New Catalogue Launch party, and I’ve been quite MIA on the blogfront (sorry!), but I have been busy!   I think it’s time for some catch-up blogging … I’ve so much to show you 🙂

These are the cards everyone made at my launch and the gifts they received …

This card was made with the Newsprint DSP (I love it!) and was entirely inspired by Jen Sannes here.  Thank you for a stunning card, Jen!   The cardstock colours are Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  And the Star was punched from Basic Black cardstock that had been through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  A silver brad attached the star to the card and on the strip of Very Vanilla the sentiment is stamped from the stamp set Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

This card was also an inspired card.  This time I was inspired by My Sweet Stampin Spot here.  I’ve used the colours Sahara Sand and Whisper White.  Using the Big Shot, I cut out the Top Note in Whisper White, then ran it through with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  I then used my brayer and Sahara Sand ink to roll over the top of the embossed image – and wow!  The ink rolls onto the embossed image.  Very cool effect, heh?

We then stamped the sentiment from Perfect Punches, and punched it out with the coordinating punch.

This card was inspired from my trip to Convention in Sydney this year.  I’ve used the colours Certainly Celery, Rich Razzleberry, Pink Pirouette and More Mustard – oh, and the strings are my Bashful Blue marker pen.  It’s using the stamp set Party Hearty, which I just love – it’s so versatile, especially for kid’s birthdays.

Here is a close up with the silver flower and grosgrain ribbon.

Next is my daughter so wanting to be part of the night instead of going to bed!

Each guest received a little cupcake of Baja Breeze ribbon and a “brownie” box of goodies.

Aren’t the “brownie” boxes the cutest ever?  I saw them as a fan of Stampin’ Up! on Facebook here.  And I found an great tutorial for the boxes here.  For my boxes, I embossed the brownie boxes with Perfect Polka Dots and Manhattan Flower.  Then decorated them with pearls, ribbon, flowers punched from the Boho Blossoms punch and felt flowers.

Belated Happy Mother’s Day

I hope all mum’s had a lovely day yesterday and were spoilt royally! 🙂  This is a card I made for my Mother-in-Law’s Mother’s Day card.  We had a relaxing day at home with my MIL and the kids 🙂

I was inspired to make this card by the talented Michelle Le-Breton.  You can see Michelle’s elegant card here.  This card was also one of the make-and-takes my guests made at my Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue launch.  I had a small group of lovely ladies (much smaller than usual), so I was able to spoil my guests with some extra nice accessories.  It was a fun night!

To make this card, we used the colours Rich Razzleberry, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White.  The WW background was textured using the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The damask stamp is from Friends 24-7, and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments (I love this versatile stamp set!). At the centre of the damask, we’ve punched out some Bella Rose DSP and then adhered it to a Build-a-Brad.  I love the touch of Kiwi Kiss with the Rich Razzleberry, don’t you?!  Here is a close up:

Dazzling Nursery Letters

This is another card I made for a workshop make-and-take.  It uses Heat & Stick powder with Dazzling Diamonds.  I love the simplicity of Nursery Letters with Dazzling Diamonds on the Whisper White!  The Eyelet Border punch jazzes it up together with the White Taffeta ribbon.  I think these colours – Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose – make a lovely baby girl card.  The sentiment from Short & Sweet finishes the card off.

Embossing on Designer Series Paper

The latest issue of Impressions (for Stampin’ Up! demos) has this really cool technique … embossing on Designer Series Paper.  I have changed the colour combo, slightly, from that in Impressions, but otherwise this is a cased card!

This card is made with the stamp set Baroque Motifs.  I’ve stamped the big swirly stamp in Versamark and then embossed it with white powder on the DSP from the Simply Scrappin Kit, Sweet Slumber.   The flowers are stamped in Tangerine Tango and cut out, and the cherish is stamped in Chocolate Chip.

Don’t forget, hurry if you want to take advantage of this month’s special – buy three packs of select Designer Series Paper and get one FREE (details here) – you have until Sunday night to place and pay for your order, so don’t miss out, do it now!
