A new baby girl!

Recently, my old boss and his wife had their first baby girl … and this is the card I made for them:

I used the colours Pretty in Pink, Pale Plum and Whisper White, plus I used versamark with Heat & Stick and Dazzling Diamonds. I really love the jumbo wheel, Nursery Letters, for baby cards … it looks fabulous embossed and all glitzed up in bling! And I love the butterflies from Live Your Dream (available in the Summer Mini which finishes at the end of this month) … I stamped the butterflies in Pale Plum and cut them out, sticking them on with dimensionals. Then I used Short & Sweet to finish off the sentiment and wrapped the card with white taffeta ribbon.

This is a close up … you can see I added a little Dazzling Diamonds to the tips of the butterfly wings too …

Live Your Dream thank you card

My cousin came over yesterday so our girls could have a play day.  And we had a lovely day!  The girls made cards (while my youngest slept and my toddler was meant to sleep) and then we had a go at making cards when all the kids went outside to play for a while.  I already had card precut in Bashful Blue, Barely Banana and Certainly Celery, so we just used what we had and put cards together.  This is the card I made, using the stamp set Live Your Dream in the Summer Mini Catalogue.

I masked the circle and then stamped my images using Almost Amethyst for the flower and Barely Banana for the butterflies.  I sponged Certainly Celery over the top of the stamped images.  I then cut out the butterflies and added two FIRE rhinestone brads.  A simple ‘thank you’ from Short & Sweet, a little paper piercing – and the card is done!  Here is a close up:

Live Your Dream bookmark

These bookmarks are one of the free give aways I made for my Summer Mini and Sale-a-bration Launch party. Everyone got to take one home.

I used the lovely stamp set, Live Your Dream, for the flower on the front and back of the bookmark.  I coloured the flowers with my marker pens using the rubber to marker pen technique. Then I used a rhinestone brad for the centre of the big flower.

The wide grosgrain ribbon is Old Olive and is tied at the end with a knot and a piece of hodgepodge.

Wish Big Gift card holder

At Stampin’ Up! Regional Training in September we made as one of our ‘make and take’s’ a cute little gift card holder. This is what it looks like, although I’ve finally created one in different colours. It’s really easy to make and inside are the cutest Love Notes cards and envelopes. What a lovely gift to give to someone special! We made this one as a class the other night.

I’ve used the colours Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky, Certainly Celery and Regal Rose. The Soft Sky is textured card stock. The DSP is Spring Break. And the stamp set is a sneak peek of a new stamp set, Live Your Dream, which is the upcoming Summer Mini Catalogue (starting 1 December 2008). The flowers from Live Your Dream coordinate really well with the Spring Break DSP, don’t you think? And, of course, the phrases “Wish Big” and “Best Wishes” are from Short & Sweet (my fav stamp set at the moment!)!

My camera has lots of “off” moments, unfortunately. The photo above is quite grainy. Sorry. Perhaps Santa will be good to me this year with a new camera!!

These are the little love notes and envelopes inside the gift card holder. At Regionals we were even shown how to “line” our envelopes … looks great, doesn’t it!?
