This is the make-and-take card I used at a recent workshop. My hostess loves a vintage style, and she loved this card. I used the colours Elegant Eggplant and Sahara Sand, sponging the edges of the Whisper White cardstock with Sahara Sand ink. I stamped En Francais in Sahara Sand ink first and stamped it on the Whisper White cardstock. After that I stamped the Medallion in Elegant Eggplant ink over the En Francais image.
I then used my two-way glue and dabbed it in the circles of the Medallion – then dusting it with Dazzling Diamonds.
The sentiment is from Well Scripted, available in the Summer Mini catalogue, and it’s stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink on Sahara Sand paper. The edges of the Scallop Oval are sponged in Sahara Sand ink as well. Simple, but elegant and antiquey!
This is the last make-and-take card my guests made at my Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue launch party.
The card is made with the colours Taken With Teal, Regal Rose, and Close to Cocoa. Don’t you love these colours together? I know, I do! I stamped the Medallion in Versamark ink and then popped the colour with my pastels – I love this soft effect!
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, which is stamped on Whisper White in Taken With Teal and layered on a the Curvy Label punch, cut in half and sponged in Taken With Teal. Naturally, the card is finished off with Dazzling Diamonds and a rhinestone brad!
This is another card I made for a workshop make-and-take. It uses Heat & Stick powder with Dazzling Diamonds. I love the simplicity of Nursery Letters with Dazzling Diamonds on the Whisper White! The Eyelet Border punch jazzes it up together with the White Taffeta ribbon. I think these colours – Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose – make a lovely baby girl card. The sentiment from Short & Sweet finishes the card off.
This is one of the make-and-take cards that we made at my launch last month.
We used the fantastic Together Forever stamp set together with Sincere Salutations. I think Sincere Salutations has to be one of the basic stamp sets for any cardmaker to own … it has eight useful sentiments that are in lovely swirly writing and adding it to your card makes it look so elegant. And it makes a stamp set like Together Forever step out of the wedding theme it has been created around and opens the possibilities for you to make a card for lots of different occasions – using only two stamp sets!
The colours are, of course!, the new In Colors Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red (including the Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon), together with Kraft paper and Chocolate Chip ink. I love the tone on tone effect of the Pink Pirouette paper and the circle stamped on it in Pink Pirouette! Don’t you?
I really love the simplicity and elegance of these two cards. They were great fun to make because I used the masking technique and the way I’ve attached taffeta ribbon is clever, yet it is so easy to attach that even a card-making beginner, who may find it challenging to look upon, would find it simple to do.
I’ve used the colours Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Barely Banana for the baby boy’s card:
And I’ve used the colours Pretty in Pink , Certainly Celery and Barely Banana for the baby girl’s card:
I think these would be great cards for a “make and take” or a “stamp-a-stack”. I’ll be using them as “make and takes” on the weekend and I’m sure they’ll be a hit!
The stamp sets I’ve used are All Year Fun to decorate the balls with lots of Dazzling Diamonds and Short and Sweet for the message “Welcome Baby”. Short and Sweet has to one of the most versatile and useful stamp sets I have! I love it!
