As promised, this is the birthday card I’ve made for my Godson … who is a big 3 years old next week! Wow! That time has flown … particularly so, because my older son turns 3 on Monday too (the boys are 2 days apart)! I have to make Joshua’s card yet … I don’t have to put his card in the post for Brisbane, so there’s still time!!
For this birthday card I’ve used the stamp sets Big Bold Birthday and Best Friends Numbers. Thankfully, Big Bold Birthday is not retiring! Yeah! Though, I’m very sad to say that Best Friends Numbers is. I use it all the time on birthday cards!! I will miss it. And, of the colours I’ve used in this card, Soft Sky (including the coordinating Soft Sky grosgrain ribbon) will be retiring. It’s such a lovely colour … although I’m excited about seeing the new colours! The other colours I’ve used with Soft Sky are Night of Navy and Tempting Turquoise.
This is the invitation I have made and sent out to invite you all (if I have your snail mail address) to my Summer Mini & Sale-a-bration Launch Party on Monday 12 January 2009. In case you haven’t received one in the mail, please consider this your invitation to come along too! Everyone is welcome 🙂 Bookings are essential, so email me to reserve your place today. You only need to be prepared to travel to Parklea, NSW, Australia 🙂
For the invite, I have used Baroque Motifs … you can’t see the big stamp from Baroque Motifs too well in this photo because I have clear embossed it, but the pink flowers are cute, aren’t they? The blue and pink flowers made with the Level 2 Hostess stamp set, In the Spotlight, and the coordinating 5-petal flower punch. I have also used the textured cardstock for the layering of the blue flower and the coordinating brad. Love the way Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything!
It has been a quiet week on the card making front, I’m sorry. You’ll see why soon 🙂
This is a birthday card I made for an old friend’s son’s 4th birthday, whose party we went to today.
I honestly couldn’t put a ribbon on a little boy’s birthday card … it didn’t go with images of Batman or Spiderman!! I’ve used the colours Ballet Blue, Real Red and Basic Black for a more masculine card. The stamps I have used are from Birthday Best, Canvas background and the Level 1 Hostess stamp set, Party Punch. I’ve done lots of sponging on this card and paper piercing too! I hope you like it (and I hope the birthday boy liked it!).
