Grunge Rock boys’ birthdays

With two boys, one in Kindy and the other in Year 1, we’ve had a few boys’ birthday parties to go to already this year!  So, I found a layout that I really like using and I’ve just varied it a little each time.  I have used the Grunge Rock and, sometimes, Extreme Elements stamp sets .  I loved the colour combination of Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango and Night of Navy.

The next card I added the birthday boy’s age “5” by using the Big Shot and Simple Numbers Bigz Die and gorgeous red glitter paper.

And the next one I added a “6” and stamped the “Happy Birthday” in a different spot:

Such an easy card to make and so many variables!

Josh’s Extreme Elements 6th birthday

Well, my special middle boy, Josh, turned 6 back in March.  It was a bit of a crazy time in March as we had been given notice to vacate our home (the owner wanted to move in) so we were running around looking for somewhere to live in between packing, school, work, my business and all the usual fun of life!  Josh had a big party last year for his 5th birthday, so this year was a quiet affair at home.  This was the card I made for him – I really love how it turned out!

I used the stamp sets Extreme Elements and Happiest Birthday Wishes with the colour combination Real Red, Basic Black and Crumb Cake.  I love the Big Shot and I couldn’t have made this card without it – I’ve used the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die and Simple Letters Alphabet and Simple Numbers Bigz Dies to cut out Josh’s name and the number “6” (which doubles as the number “9”).

I think that SU’s glitter paper is the best paper out there – I hope we get more colours in the new catalogue!!

Elementary Elegance 18th birthday card

This is a card I made for a gorgeous gal in our family who turned 18 earlier this year.

I know that the key is meant to be for a 21st, but I just had received the Trinket Keys in a recent order, and I couldn’t help use it!  And then, with Sale-a-bration, I also had the stamp set Elementary Elegance, so again, the key theme had to happen!

I stamped the key from Elementary Elegance in Whisper White craft ink on the crumb cake cardstock.  I stamped the frame in the same ink and then heat embossed it with White embossing powder.  I cut out the “18” with the Big Shot and Simple Numbers Bigz Die in Red Glitter paper and also the Scallop Square Duo Bigz Die for the layered background of the “18”.  The Trinket Key is hung from the Red Satin ribbon with Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine.

Everyday Enchantment 1st birthday present

This is a card I made for a gorgeous baby boy who turned 1 in Feburary this year.

I was inspired by this card here.  Such a clever idea!  (So easily done with any DSP) And I didn’t really change anything from that card except the type of ribbon, brad and number.

I used the Everyday Enchantment DSP to cut out rectangles for the 3 layers of the present and used the card stock Pool Party, Peach Parfait and Whisper White.  Then I stamped “Celebrate” from Outlined Occasions in Staz On Black and then coloured in using my blender pens and the ink pads Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade.  I cut out the number 1 using the Big Shot and Simple Numbers Bigz Die using Silver Glitter paper.

Everyday Enchantment 7th birthday card

So I’m a little late with the Sale-a-bration cards, but I did make a few!  I’ll pop them up over the next few days.

This is a card I made for one of my daughter’s best friends at school.  Weren’t the Sale-a-bration colours and stamps fantastic this year?  It’s so easy to make an amazing card with beautiful tools 🙂

For this card, I used the Everyday Enchantment DSP, the stripes and the flowers on the butterfly.

I used the Big Shot to cut the big butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and the little butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  And the Simple Numbers Bigz Die for the number 7.  Plus I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder on the bottom strip of Whisper White paper.

I added the Pool Party ruffled ribbon and was more than pleasantly surprised at how PRETTY this ribbon really is.  I love it!

And what little girl’s card wouldn’t be complete without some Rhinestone jewels?
