Lovely as a Tree & Funky Forest scrapbook layout

Wow, it’s nearly the end of January!  Hard to believe it.  Anyway, this is another of the layouts I made for my step-Nan’s 90th album.

This was her house as a child in Dulwich Hill.  I kept this simple, simple colours – Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette, and simple trees with the stamp set  Lovely as a Tree and standard wheel Funky Forest.  There is also a strip from the Simply Scrappin’ Sweet Nothings kit along each border of each page.  Too easy!

Thanks for looking 🙂

Sweet Nothings Box in a Bag

This is a gorgeous box I made as a ‘thank you’ gift for my cousin (naturally, with a few choice chocolates inside!), who hosted a stamp-a-stack for me (the cards in the post below, actually!).  Thanks, Janelle!

I made the box from the Sweet Nothings Simply Scrappin kit (the papers are just lovely in this kit), plus I used the flowers from Together Forever which I hand-cut out and stuck a red rhinestone brad in the middle, for the three “buttons” down the middle.  The colours I’ve used were based off the Sweet Nothings paper, so I used Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red.

There are great instructions to makea Box in a Bag here.  It was really easy to make, albeit a tad fiddly!

Wild About You birthday

This card was made for another very special little girl who turned five last month 🙂

I really love this card.  The colours are pretty and the elephant is adorable!  I was completely inspired to make it from a gorgeous card on SCS, which you can check out here

The colours I’ve used are Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss.  The paper is Riding Hood Red and the DSP from the Simply Scrappin Kit, Sweet Nothings.  What a useful Scrappin kit Sweet Nothings is!  Of course, you already knew it, but I’ll say it anyway, the elephant is from Wild About You :), and what you may not know is that the sentiment is from the Level 2 Hostess Set, Occasions for All.

The party hat was a useful idea I came up with … cutting a triangle from my Sticky Cut Letters adhesive and adhering Fine Supernova Glitter on the party hat topped with a Circle Fire rhinestone brad – and three of the same brads on the top left corner of the card.

My first ever scrapbook attempt

Well, it’s not a 12×12 scrapbook! But I have scrapped my first ever 6×6 album. I wanted to start small before I tackle anything too big!

When I joined Stampin’ Up! I chose the Stampin’ Memories Add On … which meant for only $75 I received an alphabet stamp set, a linen 6×6 album, a Simply Scrappin’ Kit, an assorted pack of 12×12 cardstock and a Stampin’ Write black journaler. Truly, such awesome value I could not go past it.

So, having never scrapped before I set myself the goal of scrapping the first Christmas with all three of my kids, Isabella 3 and a half, Joshua 21 months and Harrison 8 months. I had chosen the All the Trimmings kit to achieve my goal. I’m pleased to say, I have accomplished my goal too. The album looks much better in real life, but here are a few pages to check it out …

And the gorgeous outfit? A special Christmas present from Aunty Iesha which was brought back from China for Bella.

Notice the car? A WRX, no less! A Christmas present from Grandma.
