This is a card I made for a Sticky Cut Letters class – I do love Sticky Cut Letters with glitter! I’m saving this card for a special girl’s birthday 🙂
But Sticky Cut Letters will retire in a couple of days and you won’t be able to buy them again 😦 And they’re half price at the moment!! I’ve added a gorgeous pink Fine Super Nova glitter to this number 8 – doesn’t it bling?!!
I masked the balloons from Big Bold Birthday too (also 50% off) – it will retire in a couple of days too!
The cardstock I’ve used is Regal Rose, Real Red and Whisper White and, to these colours in the inks, I’ve also used Pink Pirouette. I adore the way the filigree and rhinestone brad finish off the bow 🙂
I’m sorry I’ve been slack in posting the past month. I have been working hard to finish the first draft of my novel – and I finished it last night! Now, I’ll put it down for a while, let it percolate, and revisit it in a month to begin the hard slog of editing and polishing it. Until then, I’m cardmaking with abandon!! There will be lots more posts in the coming month 🙂
A few weeks ago, my daughter received her very first invitation in Kindergarten. And she was so lucky – it was from one of her best friends!
So this is the card we made for her. Bella helped pick the colours (it had to be pink, pink, pink!), and then she stamped all the inside of the card. I’m so sorry, I forgot to take a photo of the inside!
The pinks Bella chose are Pink Pirouette and Pixie Pink. I was surprised that she picked Lovely Lilac for the little flower! It’s been a while since I’ve used my Sticky Cut Letters – I forget how cool they are with the Fine Supernova Glitter! Love the “J” for the birthday girl’s name 🙂
The stamp sets we used are Big Bold Birthday, Short & Sweet and Best Friends Numbers (retired).
And this was the present I made for my great-Aunt’s 70th birthday. Of course, the “m” is for her Christian name 🙂
The cover and back of the album are Baja Breeze textured paper. Inside there are 5 sheets of Whisper White card stock, which I stamped for a scrapbook effect. I thought 5 sheets good because that meant there was space for 10 photos, perfect for photos from our night out. I’ve bound it together using the Crop-a-dile and Jumbo Pewter eyelets.
The Designer Series Paper I’ve used is Regal Rose from the Hostess Patterns Pack II. The cover DSP is layered on Pink Pirouette card stock.
The ‘m’ is from Sticky Cut Letters and is covered with Fine Supernova glitter. And the jumbo wheel is Friendly Words stamped in Baja Breeze.
The flowers are from the Pretties Kit, Flower Fusion and Flower Fusion Too, with a pearl from the Pretties Kit in the centre.
I’ll put a small tutorial with measurements in my next newsletter, so if you’d like to make an album like this, join up for my newsletter (on the sidebar).
This card was made for another very special little girl who turned five last month 🙂
I really love this card. The colours are pretty and the elephant is adorable! I was completely inspired to make it from a gorgeous card on SCS, which you can check out here.
The colours I’ve used are Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss. The paper is Riding Hood Red and the DSP from the Simply Scrappin Kit, Sweet Nothings. What a useful Scrappin kit Sweet Nothings is! Of course, you already knew it, but I’ll say it anyway, the elephant is from Wild About You :), and what you may not know is that the sentiment is from the Level 2 Hostess Set, Occasions for All.
The party hat was a useful idea I came up with … cutting a triangle from my Sticky Cut Letters adhesive and adhering Fine Supernova Glitter on the party hat topped with a Circle Fire rhinestone brad – and three of the same brads on the top left corner of the card.
