Two out of three FREE cards made ….

These were two of the cards three cards we made on Monday night.

This first card was the trickest of all the cards but I had a few talented cardmakers attend and I wanted to challenge them a little (I hope I did!!).  The new rhinestone brads are stunning and I think the Turquoise brad really made this card.  Of course, I rarely make a card for people that doesn’t have Dazzling Diamonds too.  So you can see the flower sparkling away!   This card was inspired by another card on Splitcoaststampers … check out the other card here.  Thank you for the inspiration!

Time Well Spent, Think Happy Thoughts

The second card was my own design.  I came up with it by deciding I wanted to use our new Wild Wasabi Textured card stock, my new En Francais background stamp (I love it!) and my scallop circle punch (I love it the most!).  Plus I knew I wanted a gift card size card.  I only needed to add Boho Backgrounds, Priceless and Everyday Flexible Phrases to the mix to finish off the card!  phew!

It may sound full of everything, but it was really easy to make … and everyone had the chance to play with my new brayer and my new scallop punch!

Boho Backgrounds gift card

Watch my blog over the next few days and I’ll post the third card we made too.

If you would like to play with a scallop circle punch too … then why not place an order with me today?  You can place an order with me from anywhere in Australia.  It’s really easy to do.  Just email me and ask how.

Thanks for looking!

Invitation to New Catalogue Launch Party

What do you think of my invitation I made for my New Catalogue Launch party?  Do you like the butterfly or the flowers best?  I love it all!  That’s because I love the stamp set ‘Time Well Spent’ used to make it.  It is a Level 3 Hostess set in the new Catalogue, but it was our Christmas present from Shelli at Stampin’ Up! for all demonstrators last year.   So generous of Shelli!

This is a close-up of the butterfly coloured in with Tempting Turquoise and Dazzling Diamonds.

My invitations are in snail mail today.  Please do consider this your invitation to come along as well.   You need to book in Monday 14th April 2008, 7.30pm onwards in your diaries at 7 Parklea Drive, Parklea, NSW, Australia.

It will be a night of fun with door prizes, make and take projects, specials, champagne and nibbles. Bring a friend along and have a fun night out experiencing something different!

See you then!

My first ever scrapbook attempt

Well, it’s not a 12×12 scrapbook! But I have scrapped my first ever 6×6 album. I wanted to start small before I tackle anything too big!

When I joined Stampin’ Up! I chose the Stampin’ Memories Add On … which meant for only $75 I received an alphabet stamp set, a linen 6×6 album, a Simply Scrappin’ Kit, an assorted pack of 12×12 cardstock and a Stampin’ Write black journaler. Truly, such awesome value I could not go past it.

So, having never scrapped before I set myself the goal of scrapping the first Christmas with all three of my kids, Isabella 3 and a half, Joshua 21 months and Harrison 8 months. I had chosen the All the Trimmings kit to achieve my goal. I’m pleased to say, I have accomplished my goal too. The album looks much better in real life, but here are a few pages to check it out …

And the gorgeous outfit? A special Christmas present from Aunty Iesha which was brought back from China for Bella.

Josh

Notice the car? A WRX, no less! A Christmas present from Grandma.

Virtual card making

It was another cyberstamp night on Wednesday night. I love them! Our first challenge for the night was the spotlight technique. I used my gorgeous Time Well Spent stamp set that Stampin’ Up! gave all SU demonstrators for their Christmas present last year. I like this technique!

Spotlight technique

The second card was made knowing that a beautiful baby girl had been born on Tuesday, Evie Jane Foote. So, now all I have to do is buy a gift. The card was our sketch challenge for the night. I’m really loving the colour Rose Red at the moment!

Sketch challenge

Don’t you love the butterfly? It’s from the Merci stamp set which is in our Sale-A-Bration catalogue right now. If you spend $100 before 29 February 2008 you too could earn the Merci stamp set and this gorgeous butterfly for FREE.

I still have to make up my third challenge … a colour challenge. So watch this space and I’ll post that card after I make it tonight.

A different kind of “Friday night in”

Last night I did my first ever Cyberstamp with The INKlings group that I am a part of. There were 10 of us online last night, that was great! Our talented uplines set us 4 challenges to complete so the pressure was on the the creative juices forced to flow!

These were my efforts:

FIRST CHALLENGE

To complete a gift tag of any kind in 10 minutes … phew!

10 min Gift Tag

Apologies for the poor lighting for the photo. How simple was this card? Just Whisper White and Lovely Lilac cardstock, Birthday Best stamp set and Basic Black ink with a colour in with the Lovely Lilac marker pen was almost all that was needed. To finish the card off I used my trusty 2-way glue pen with Dazzling Diamonds glitter … bling!

SECOND CHALLENGE

This was a sketch challenge. Of course, my first! What a great idea though … we all followed the sketch and were to use patterned paper on the card and choose our colour scheme from the patterned paper. I used Loves Me DSP from the Summer Mini Catalogue … I’ve been meaning to do a baby card for so long!

Baby Boy!

THIRD CHALLENGE

Now this was really a challenge … a colour challenge. We had to create a card from the the colours: Vintage Violet, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip and Cool Carribean. I didn’t have any Cool Carribean and substituted it with Bashful Blue. Would you have picked this colour scheme?

FOURTH CHALLENGE

Our last challenge was reverse masking … and now I have finished it!
