Strength & Hope Mini Lunch Sacks

I know the new catalogue has just started – so I promise I will post some of my new creations in the next week.  Don’t you love the new catalogue?  I know I do!  If you haven’t seen it yet and would like a hard copy – please email me 🙂

Now, I am sorry I’m very tardy in posting these gorgeous mini lunch sacks – especially because you can’t buy them from Stampin’ Up! anymore!  But I love them, all the same, and must share them 🙂

I made these as a free gift to all my guests for my launch of the Autumn/Winter mini that has now finished.  I just adored the lunch sacks and was entirely inspired to make my lunch sacks from the gorgeous creations on this link here.

To make them, I popped the lunch sacks through my Big Shot in the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  Then I punched out three strips of Concord Crush cardstock with the Scallop Trim border punch.  I stamped the butterfly from Strength & Hope in Concord Crush ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and then cut it out and stuck it with dimensionals over the flourish from Strength & Hope (also stamped in Concord Crush).  Of course, a gift must have bling too – so there are three of SU’s rhinestone basic jewels for the butterfly’s body.

To tie the top together, I used Basic Black striped grosgrain ribbon.  And my little tag is from Tiny Tags – stamped in Basic Black and Pear Pizzazz and tied on with linen thread.

Thanks for looking 🙂

Pink Punch Potpourri

Wow, I’m so sorry it’s been so long since I last blogged!  I have still been created but my business has steadily increased and it simply devours my time – which is good for business but not so good for my time to blog.  However, time to create must happen … it’s essential for our well-being, isn’t it?  So I hope to share a few more creations more often 🙂

This is a card I made last year for a Cancer fundraiser.  My ladies and I had a lovely night and we raised over $270 on the night!  This was one of our make-and-takes …

The colours are Pink Pirouette, Basic Black (and we also made cards with Early Espresso) and Pear Pizzazz.  We stamped the bird from Punch Potpourri in Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette, of course punching it out with the Two Step Bird punch.  The background is the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, used with the Big Shot.  The cute little tag is made from Tiny Tags and punched out with the adorable Jewellery Tag punch.

I loved using a Rhinestone jewel for the bird’s eye – gotta have bling!

Christmas Acetate Milk Carton

I was extra fortunate a few weekends ago to do a workshop on Sydney’s harbour.  Well, not actually on the harbour, as we weren’t in a boat, but it was at one of the apartments on the piers, so we were definitely over water.  Check out the view behind this cute milk carton!  I was pretty impressed.  And even more impressed by my amazing hostess.

I demonstrated this cute little box made with acetate and then gave it to my hostess.  I’d brought along the jaffas, because I’d had this idea stuck in my head that had to get out – a clear milk carton with jaffas inside!  Don’t you get ideas like that?

The box, of course, is made with the Mini Milk Carton die and the Big Shot.  The sentiment was stamped from Tiny Tags, and I layered it with two more tags punched from Real Red textured cardstock and the Cocoa Specialty DSP (now not available).  The SU ribbon also isn’t available any longer.

Now, I took these photos at the workshop before my hostess kindly offered for me to try the balcony for better light, lol!  Of course, the photos above have far more than better light!!

How good do the jaffas look in this box?  I adore it 🙂

Tiny Tags wedding thank you

This is another of the thank you cards I’ve made for my friend’s wedding.

I made it a few times, in slightly different ways, so that everyone who receives a card will still receive a unique card.

And I also stamped the envelopes to coordinate with the cards.

I was inspired to use the Tiny Tags stamp set by a lovely vintage card Shelli made at Convention in Sydney, Australia.  Now, Shelli hasn’t blogged this card that I’ve seen, so I hope she doesn’t mind me sharing her card which is the inspiration for my thank you cards in this post.  I did take this photo at Convention.

For my cards, I used the Very Vanilla (textured), Very Vanilla, Brushed Gold and So Saffron cardstock with So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Gold ink.  On the top card I’ve heat embossed the gold heart and crown.  I added a few pearls to each card, some non-SU ribbon (if only I could’ve ordered from the upcoming new catalogue – I wouldn’t have used non-SU ribbon!!) and SU gold thread (now retired).   And I used the Tiny Tags punch and Scallop Edge punch too.

More gift tags to come for the wedding, so visit again soon!
