Owl Punch Wedding Card

Ever since the new SU catalogue came out, I’ve wanted to make a card using Concord Crush.  Finally, for Cath and Steve’s wedding card, I found the time!  Yeah!  You see, purple is also one of Cath’s favourite colours.  So, enter Destiny.

I made this card using Concord Crush and teamed it together with the Basic Grey and Whisper White.  I also had to add Baroque Motifs, as I know how much Cath loves that stamp.  Of course, who doesn’t love that stamp?!!  lol.  Anyway, you can also see that I added a touch of Vintage Wallpaper as well.  Had to stick to my themes!

The bride’s dress was made using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder with a few pearls at the bottom to make her truly elegant.  For the tiara, I used the owl’s feet and added one of SU’s gorgeous teeny pearls.  The groom’s waistcoat came from the Level 1 Hostess DSP pack and his bow tie (which I adore) came from two hearts from the Owl punch.  A few pearl buttons finished him off.

And how about the gorgeous sentiment?  I love the stamp set, Well Scripted, which is available in the current Summer Mini Catalogue – only until 31 March 2011.  Email me today to order it for yourself.  Or why not order the Owl punch – at $33.95 (plus shipping) in Australia it’s an amazing punch to add to your collection.

Well, I had so much fun making all the cards I made for Cath and Steve’s wedding.  I hope you enjoyed the journey.  Now I think I need to find another wedding!  The challenge has pushed my inspiration and it’s been soul-satisfying 🙂

Fun & Fast Notes Wedding

I wanted to make a bright wedding card and came up with this.  The colours are Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Basic Black and – Tangerine Tango!  Nice and bright!

I rolled my jumbo wheel, Scribble, in the middle of the Whisper White background in Sahara Sand ink.  Then I stamped the cake in Staz On Black and coloured the flowers on top in with my Pumpkin Pie marker pen.

Cyberstamp Challenge #2

The second challenge was a colour challenge.  We had to create a card, scrapbook page or 3D project using Pink, Black and White.  We could choose any pink.

This is the card I created using Pink Pirouette.

I also used the stamp set Together Forever – it’s one of my favourites!

A recent Stamp-a-Stack

These are the cards I designed for my last Stamp-a-Stack.  One of the ladies coming along wanted to make a wedding card, so I tailored the SAS around Tempting Turquoise and Basic Grey.  I thought the Tempting Turquoise lended a real “Tiffany’s” feel to the card … what do you think?

And the second card was designed for boys 🙂  And, so, you can see how a simple layout and colour scheme can be used for two entirely different cards.

The stamp sets I used for the wedding card were Fun & Fast Notes, Together Forever and Sincere Salutations.  Although you can’t see the Sincere Salutations, it was an option for anyone who wanted to make another type of card with Fun & Fast Notes and Sincere Salutations.

The boy’s card used the stamp sets Choo Choo (available in the Spring Mini), Short & Sweet and Fun & Fast Notes.

Together Forever

I’ve been asked to make a couple of wedding cards for a lovely friend’s sister.  And seeing as I’ve just got this new stamp set, Together Forever (for FREE … one of the perks of being a demonstrator), this was the perfect reason to play with it

I know the wedding has a blue theme, so I’ve used the new In Color Pacific Point as the base of the card … with Going Gray and Whisper White.  The silver frame has been embossed and I’ve had cut out the flower.  Now, I must admit, the bow was a minor miracle on this card … I got it first time and was utterly astonished at how perfect it turned out!!!!  Don’t ask me how I did it!! LOL!!

I love this stamp set … watch out for more cards made with it soon!!

I apologise for the poor flash photography in the first two photos, it distorts the true look of the cards. Would you like to know how to do any of the techniques I have used for these cards?
