Baby Tees Baby Boy

This card was made for very good friends, who we miss so much because they live in the UK, and who welcomed their first born son into their lives earlier this year.

I made this card at the same time as the baby girl’s card, so it was nice to make the same card and simply change the colour combo for a boy and girl.  The colours I’ve used are Bashful Blue, Old Olive and Whisper White.  The white satin ribbon is so elegant, I just love it!

Just the same as the girl’s card, I stamped the Baby Tees jumbo wheel in Staz On black ink and then cut it out and coloured it in using my aqua painter and ink pads.  And the sentiment was from Well Scripted too.

Baby Tees Baby Girl

I made this card for my old neighbours.  They had a beautiful baby girl earlier this year!

I used the colours Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Whisper White.  The Baby Tees jumbo wheel is so cute!  I rolled it in Staz On black ink on watercolour paper and then cut it out and coloured it in using my aqua painter and ink pads.

Of course, the embossed dots are made using the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  And the sentiment comes from the stamp set Well Scripted.

Friends 24-7 Make-and-Take

This is one of the make and take cards my guests made at my Sale-a-bration and Summer Mini Catalogue launch party a couple of weeks ago.  The design was entirely inspire by Teneale Williams here and I told my guests exactly that – and one of them confessed she had already seen Teneale’s card!  Teneale has made such a beautiful card, you should check it out (if you haven’t already seen it, lol!).

Only, I couldn’t use the stamp set, Bliss, as Teneale had.  I don’t have it yet!  So, this is a good example of how you can make what you have work for you.  I wanted to also use Well Scripted on my launch night, so I made this card work for me.

I used the colours Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Concord Crush DSP from the Level 1 Hostess DSP Pack.  I put the Concord Crush DSP through my Big Shot with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die and a string of SU pearls in the middle.  The striped DSP is also the Concord Crush DSP.

Like Teneale, I also used the rock and roll technique for the damask from Friends 24-7.  I stamped in Perfect Plum ink first, then stamped off once, then rock and rolled the stamp in Elegant Eggplant.  I love the effect!

I stamped the sentiment from Well Scripted in Elegant Eggplant and a touch of Victoria crochet trim lace finished off the card.

Medallion/En Francais Make-n-take

This is the make-and-take card I used at a recent workshop.  My hostess loves a vintage style, and she loved this card.  I used the colours Elegant Eggplant and Sahara Sand, sponging the edges of the Whisper White cardstock with Sahara Sand ink.  I stamped En Francais in Sahara Sand ink first and stamped it on the Whisper White cardstock.  After that I stamped the Medallion in Elegant Eggplant ink over the En Francais image.

I then used my two-way glue and dabbed it in the circles of the Medallion – then dusting it with Dazzling Diamonds.

The sentiment is from Well Scripted, available in the Summer Mini catalogue, and it’s stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink on Sahara Sand paper.  The edges of the Scallop Oval are sponged in Sahara Sand ink as well.  Simple, but elegant and antiquey!

Birthday Bag in a Box

I was really inspired by my Secret Santa gift from Rachel Jackson before Christmas.   In case you didn’t see her gift, click on this link to see her wonderful creation.  I loved it so much, I made a copy of it for a birthday gift, which you can see below.  And for another birthday gift, I made a taller version using SU’s Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper.

For both boxes I used Basic Black textured paper and the stamp set Well Scripted (only available in the current Summer Mini until 31 March 2011) for the sentiment.  I also used a vintage brad on each sentiment and the Round Tab punch to tie on the Basic Black Satin Ribbon at the top.

For the sentiment tag on the Lap of Luxury Bag in a Box, I also used a scrap leftover from my sister’s wedding invitations.  So it was already embossed with the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  And I sponged the edges of the tag with Concord Crush and sprayed it with my new Gold Glow Smooch Spritz – which I adore!  Here is a close-up of the sentiment.

For the other box, I used, of course, the same paper as Rachel – Love Letter DSP with a Very Vanilla tag, which I had sponged the edges with in Basic Black.
