Lace Ribbon Christening card

I made this card for one of our dearest friends’ little bubba’s Christening, earlier this year.

The card was entirely inspired by a fellow stamper Donna here.  I’ve used the Framed Tulips embossing folder with the Big Shot to frame the card.  The cross is made using the Lace Ribbon border punch and Silver Glimmer paper and the Rhinestone brad finishes off the centre of the cross which coordinates rather nicely, I think, with the Bashful Blue paper and Shimmery White paper.

God’s Blessings – Baby Boy’s Christening

dsc00331

A very special baby boy is being baptised this weekend. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to attend the service as it is in Brisbane, but our prayers are with Brynn for Sunday.

This is the card I made to send up with his present. I love the Bashful Blue and Barely Banana combination for a baby boy card – don’t you? And I’m addicted to the metal edge tags at the moment – they’re awesome!

So what have I used for this card? The base of the card stock is textured Bashful Blue. I stamped the message from God’s Blessings on the metal edge tag, then I’ve stamped and embossed in silver the duck clip and rattle from All Year Fun. I then rolled my jumbo Nursery Letters wheel in Barely Banana on the bottom half of the card and layered it on Barely Banana card stock. I’ve divided the card with the 1″ stitched grosgrain ribbon (available in the Summer Mini catalogue) – it’s it stunning ribbon! I sponged around the edge of the white cardstock with Barely Banana and then finished the card off with three star brads from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge.

I hope it makes a nice keepsake for Brynn.
