Wow, it’s nearly the end of January! Hard to believe it. Anyway, this is another of the layouts I made for my step-Nan’s 90th album.
This was her house as a child in Dulwich Hill. I kept this simple, simple colours – Kiwi Kiss and Pink Pirouette, and simple trees with the stamp set Lovely as a Tree and standard wheel Funky Forest. There is also a strip from the Simply Scrappin’ Sweet Nothings kit along each border of each page. Too easy!
I have my Sale-a-bration & Summer Mini Mystery Party on Friday 5 February 2010. This is the invite I posted out to friends and customers. I really loved the colour combo – Elegant Eggplant, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla and Summer Sun.
The stamp set I used was Hello Again – very versatile!
If you would like to come to my night, it is FREE, and you will receive a FREE Sale-a-bration and Summer Mini catalogue, plus lots of other goodies. It will be great fun, so look here for more details. And please RSVP by Monday 1 February 2010.
And this was the present I made for my great-Aunt’s 70th birthday. Of course, the “m” is for her Christian name 🙂
The cover and back of the album are Baja Breeze textured paper. Inside there are 5 sheets of Whisper White card stock, which I stamped for a scrapbook effect. I thought 5 sheets good because that meant there was space for 10 photos, perfect for photos from our night out. I’ve bound it together using the Crop-a-dile and Jumbo Pewter eyelets.
The Designer Series Paper I’ve used is Regal Rose from the Hostess Patterns Pack II. The cover DSP is layered on Pink Pirouette card stock.
The ‘m’ is from Sticky Cut Letters and is covered with Fine Supernova glitter. And the jumbo wheel is Friendly Words stamped in Baja Breeze.
The flowers are from the Pretties Kit, Flower Fusion and Flower Fusion Too, with a pearl from the Pretties Kit in the centre.
I’ll put a small tutorial with measurements in my next newsletter, so if you’d like to make an album like this, join up for my newsletter (on the sidebar).
Yesterday my lovely great-Aunt turned 70. We had a great night out last night and this is the card I made for her. Aunty Marg had asked for no presents, so I didn’t buy a present, instead I made her a little scrapbook album – somewhere she could put her photos in from the night. You’ll have to check back tomorrow to see the album!
I used the stamp set A Rose is a Rose. Seriously, my favourite stamp set in the catty. The “70” comes from the stamp set Best Friends Numbers (retired).
I really love this colour combo – Kiwi Kiss, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. How pretty is the rose?
And of course, I have to use textured cardstock for really special cards. Aunty Marg is a very special person, so it goes without saying, I used textured cardstock. Plus, I must have embellishments! I used the Pretties Kit, So Saffron ribbon (unavailable) and Kiwi Kiss corduroy buttons (unavailable).
And this was the insert. Again, the stamp set A Rose is a Rose, but then I stamped Sincere Salutations for the salutation. I added a different colour in here. I wonder if you can tell me which colours I used for the insert?
Whoo hoo! This is my favourite time of year. It’s time to earn free stamp sets! So how does that work? Read on …
