Baby Tees Baby Boy

This card was made for very good friends, who we miss so much because they live in the UK, and who welcomed their first born son into their lives earlier this year.

I made this card at the same time as the baby girl’s card, so it was nice to make the same card and simply change the colour combo for a boy and girl.  The colours I’ve used are Bashful Blue, Old Olive and Whisper White.  The white satin ribbon is so elegant, I just love it!

Just the same as the girl’s card, I stamped the Baby Tees jumbo wheel in Staz On black ink and then cut it out and coloured it in using my aqua painter and ink pads.  And the sentiment was from Well Scripted too.

Baby Tees Baby Girl

I made this card for my old neighbours.  They had a beautiful baby girl earlier this year!

I used the colours Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Whisper White.  The Baby Tees jumbo wheel is so cute!  I rolled it in Staz On black ink on watercolour paper and then cut it out and coloured it in using my aqua painter and ink pads.

Of course, the embossed dots are made using the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  And the sentiment comes from the stamp set Well Scripted.

Dazzling Nursery Letters

This is another card I made for a workshop make-and-take.  It uses Heat & Stick powder with Dazzling Diamonds.  I love the simplicity of Nursery Letters with Dazzling Diamonds on the Whisper White!  The Eyelet Border punch jazzes it up together with the White Taffeta ribbon.  I think these colours – Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose – make a lovely baby girl card.  The sentiment from Short & Sweet finishes the card off.

A beautiful new baby

Congratulations, Michele and David! On 9 April 2009, my dear friend Michele gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Elise (beautiful name, isn’t it?). Elise is so lucky because besides having fantastic parents, she also has two big sisters to dote on her.

This is the card I made for Elise …

It’s a shaker card … with SU pink chunky sprinkles to shake in the window. I’ve always had a facsination when looking at cards with sprinkles in newsagents. Do you ever find that? Now I can’t believe I’ve made one! Need to pinch myself … LOL!!

Around the outside of the card, I’ve used my new A Rose is a Rose stamp set … it’s so elegant! I’ve stamped the two step big rose in Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink. I love love love it!! LOL!!

And in the shaker window I’ve stamped the sentiment from God’s Blessings in Riding Hood Red and butterflies from Priceless in Pink Pirouette. I tied the coordinating Pink Pirouette striped grosgrain ribbon around the base of the card …

I love the Flower Fusion Too felt flowers … and the new designer buttons!! They coordinate perfectly …

And inside I stamped the rose in the same colours and used the word “wonderful” from Wonderful Favourites … and the words “new baby” from the new Level 2 hostess stamp set … Occasions for All. The sentiment is so true … Elise is a Wonderful New Baby :))

New Baby Boy!

My neighbour gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last Monday, and he’s simply adorable!  It’s so nice to have a newborn bubba only next door!!!

This is the card I made to go with his present …

My favourite jumbo wheel, Nursery Letters, is the base for this card. Then I used God’s Blessing for the sentiment, which fits perfectly inside the large square metal edge tag!  I was happy about that!   Do you recognise a new colour?  It’s the new In Color, Pacific Point, and it’s gorgeous!!  I even sponged around the edge of the sentiment to use more of the ink!! LOL!  The other colour is Bashful Blue … and the ribbon is the Bashful Blue 1″ double stitched.

This is a close up of the stars … aren’t they sparkly!!!  I punched out the stars and using my Versamark ink and the Heat & Stick powder, I then adhered Chunky Sprinkles to the stars.
