Forever Young Get Well card

Remember when I used to blog?  I’m so sorry it’s been so so so long.  You would think with three gorgeous kids at school now (kindy, year 1 and year 2), I would have more time.  BUT (there is always a but).  My business has taken off (I haven’t even advertised yet).  All my work comes via word of mouth.  This is good, but means my time must be devoted to clients first.  Fortunately, even though I’ve lacked in blogging I have still been creating!  So, I have a lot of photos to share and I hope I can get on a roll again so you, I hope, can find inspiration when you visit.

This is a card I created last year and was inspired by Teneale Williams here.  Teneale has such amazing work, you must visit (if you haven’t before)!

The colour combination is Basic Black and Concord Crush.  I’ve used Basic Black cardstock, the 2010-2012 In Color Patterns DSP Stack and the old Newsprint DSP.  I embossed the images using versamark and black embossing powder and finished off the card with a Vintage brad and a strip of Very Vanilla paper punched with the Lace Ribbon border punch.

This is a close up of the sentiment stamped using Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

Thanks for looking 🙂

Fun & Fast Notes

This is a card I made as one of the “ideas” for our Watoto fundraiser.  We didn’t use it, although you will see we did make something similar.

This card used the colours Basic Grey, So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss.  The stamp set, as the title suggests, is Fun & Fast Notes.  I often forget how useful this stamp set is!  On the So Saffron cardstock, I’ve used the tone-on-tone effect using the Scribble jumbo wheel in So Saffron ink.

I love the Baja Breeze ribbon – it looks great!

Fun & Fast Get Well Wishes

I’m very slack … I have been meaning to make this card for a while. It is for a lovely friend who has had an operation recently. Except she’ll be well on the mend by the time she receives the card!

Anyway, a long while ago during a training session I had the chance to use someone else’s Paisley background stamp. Finally, I decided to use it! The rest of the card just grew from the old olive Paisley stamp on Whisper White card stock and the need for a Get Well card. Of course, Fun & Fast Notes provided me with all I needed then. I had fun with my new aqua painter, water colour paper and, naturally, I couldn’t help but use my crop-a-dile!

I really like Old Olive and Regal Rose together … and the ribbons are just fabulous in the new catalogue! Enjoy your day and thanks for looking!
