2011 Stampin’ Up! Retirement List (Australian)

I simply cannot believe how time flies by – it’s been a year since our new catalogue came out (well, really, our soon-to-be-old catalogue) and now it’s time to say goodbye AGAIN!  As always happens on the eve of every new Stampin’ Up! catalogue I’ve seen, hundreds of products from the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue will retire.  Now is your opportunity to buy the “must-haves” on your wish list … before they’re gone!

You can check out the list HERE, and you’ll see some items are 25% off and a few are 40% off.  So sit down with a cuppa and peruse the list with pleasure 🙂  Remember too, items on the Retired List are only available while stocks last OR until 31 August 2011 (whichever comes first).

I’m sad to see some of my favourite stamp sets on the list – Friends 24/7, Eastern Blooms, Pun Fun and the Extreme Guitar/Extreme Surfboard stamp sets. 

But if you like Designer Series Paper and want to be prepared for Christmas this year – be excited!  Check out Jolly Holiday DSP – only $10.17 – that’s only $0.85 a sheet for 12 double sided sheets – BARGAIN!!  But hurry, this one is bound to fly off the warehouse shelves.

Australia Flood Appeal

It has been an utterly devastating week for Queensland with the worst floods seen since 1974.  And now Victoria falls victim to the floods.  As our hearts ache for those who have lost their lives, their loved ones and the thousands of people who have lost their homes and livelihoods, our sincerest sympathy and prayers are with you. 

I don’t know about you, but I see the heart of the Australian people shining clear in every news broadcast.  Aussies will help in any way they can.  And the thousands of volunteers who are out there helping with the cleanup and recovery – they are true blue Aussie heroes.

Stampin’ Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others–especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. Nearly two years ago, we watched another tragedy unfold in Australia and we worked together to support the Bushfire Appeal. We’ve done it before and we can certainly do it again!

December Frenzy !!

Here is one of my favourite Christmas cards that I’ve made this year.   I just love it!  And, you know, the sentiment is from the stamp set Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  I use Teeny Tiny Sentiments ALL THE TIME!  And it’s on special this month – from $62.95 to ONLY $31.48.  That is an incredible price!!!  Check out what else is on special by checking out the details below or clicking on the December Frenzy picture to the right.

I’ve also used the stamp sets En Francais (background), Delightful Decorations and Lovely as a Tree.  The En Francais was stamped in Crumb Cake, the ornaments are in Cherry Cobbler and the trees in Old Olive.  Wow.  This is a super colour combo for Christmas, don’t you think?

Now, you can’t see too well in my photos, but I’ve also sponged Champagne Shimmer paint all over the card and it looks GORGEOUS!! lol!

New Autumn/Winter Mini & a Magical Pony

This is a card I made as a swap for a recent and lovely training day.  I had to have this stamp set from the new Mini … Pony Party!  My 5 year old daughter has stamped it more than I have, lol!  As I made this card for a swap, I had the chance to play with a few variations.  All the swaps were made using the colours Pretty in Pink and Elegant Eggplant.  I’ve masked the pony to give a eggplant-night sky.  I also masked the wings, twice.  The difference on this card is that I’ve coloured in the pony’s mane with my marker pens.

On every card I also used the Dreams coordinating wheel in White Craft ink on the background Elegant Eggplant card stock.  The difference on this card is that I’ve coloured in the pony’s mane with my blender pens.

I used Dazzling Diamonds on every card too – how can there be no bling on a magical card?!?  The difference on this card is that I’ve sponged Pretty in Pink in the sky and coloured in the stars with Bashful Blue.
