eScape on Monday night – 30 June 2008

Well, with some kind help from my friends, we chose to postpone my eScape night tonight and have now made our eScape night Monday 30 June 2008.  Same place, same time.  If you would like to come along, please let me know by Sunday night.  It will be great fun!  I can’t wait to show you how to make a Bag-a-lope!

This is another card we will be making, although I might change the base colour to Certainly Celery.  Here is a close up and you can see the layers … I love layers!  And I adore the textured cardstock 🙂

Another eScape card for tomorrow night …

Tomorrow night is the night Stampin’ Up! has designated as “eScape day” – a day to put away your mobile phones and laptops and focus on reconnecting with your “wireless network.”  And tomorrow night, this is one of the cards we are making in my class!  We will be making 4 other cards and a Bag-a-lope.  You will be able to pack away all the cards you make on the night in your new Bag-a-lope!  All this for the great price of $20.  Let me know today if you can come along to Parklea.  All are welcome  🙂

I’ll post some close ups of the Bag-a-lope after Wednesday, so keep watching this space 🙂

From my shelf to yours … a stamp set to be won!

I have an old Stampin’ Up! stamp set that I no longer use (pictured above). It has great sayings too (pictured below). The stamp set is called Very Punny and it has been much loved but it is time for someone else to love this very cute set. So what am I going to do with it? Well, I’m going to give it away!

And who will be the lucky winner? Well, this is how to play:

1. Leave a comment on this post telling me what product is at the top of your Stampin’ Up! wish list – 1 point.

2. Subscribe to my monthly newsletter (first box, right hand column) – 2 points.

2. Subscribe to my blog (second box, right hand column) – 2 points.

3. Introduce a new person to my blog who subscribes to my newsletter – 3 points.

4. Introduce a new person to my blog who subscribes to my blog – 3 points.

Make sure you let me know if you have introduced anyone (or they let me know) so I can add up all your points. It’s that easy! The person with the most amount of points by 9.00pm Friday 4 July 2008 EST will be the winner!

Conditions of entry?? Australian residents only.

Oh, and if you aren’t sure if you’re on either list at the moment, email me and I’ll let you know if you’re there or not.

If you have any difficulties subscribing or joining my newsletter group please email me at rachel.capps@yahoo.com.au

eScape Event with Think Happy Thoughts

I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to show you all what is happening for my eScape Event this coming Wednesday 25 June 2008.  Here is is though!

We will be making 5 different cards and a Bag-a-lope that will fit them all for you to take them home in.  All for the great price of $20.

I love this stamp set!  Think Happy Thoughts works perfectly with Stampin’ Up! punches.  Too much fun!

Book your place before Tuesday 24 June to come along to Parklea in Sydney, Australia.  Start time is 8pm.  I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 🙂

I’ll post close ups of the cards we’re making over the next few days.  This is the first card …

Have a great weekend!

4th Birthday

Four years ago (Sunday) I remember my husband driving us to The SAN Hospital in the wee hours of the morning when I had contractions 4 mins apart and my husband had to stop for McDonalds on the way (!) … at 11.11am our daughter, Isabella, was born.  I always remember the time because of Remembrance Day.

On Sunday it was the first year we didn’t have a party for Bella (both her brothers had parties this year, that was enough!), but it still felt like a party because my mother-in-law, brother and his wife and our next door neighbour and her daughter all visited at the same time.  Everyone got to sing her ‘happy birthday’ and she got to blow out her candles on her ‘cupcake’ cake!

This is the birthday card I made for her (above) and the close up (below) …

In hindsight, I don’t think I should have put the butterflies on … but she loved it!

A little funny story too … when she opened her Uncle Mark & Aunty Nicole’s card she turned to Uncle Mark and said … ‘it’s so pretty … you made it?’  God love her! hehe!
