Delicate Doilies birthday card

This was a card I made last year when I first played with stamp set Delicate Doilies. I just love this stamp set!

To make this card I stamped the images from Delicate Doilies in Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Wisteria Wonder first before I put the paper through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder in the Big Shot.  I sponged the edges of all but the bottom strip of Very Vanilla with Soft Suede ink including the strip of Very Vanilla punched with the Lace Ribbon border punch and the strip of Wisteria Wonder (also stamped with Delicate Doilies in Soft Suede) which has been cut with Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die with the Big Shot.

The sentiment was stamped using the stamp set Bring on the Cake.

2011 Stampin’ Up! Retirement List (Australian)

I simply cannot believe how time flies by – it’s been a year since our new catalogue came out (well, really, our soon-to-be-old catalogue) and now it’s time to say goodbye AGAIN!  As always happens on the eve of every new Stampin’ Up! catalogue I’ve seen, hundreds of products from the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue will retire.  Now is your opportunity to buy the “must-haves” on your wish list … before they’re gone!

You can check out the list HERE, and you’ll see some items are 25% off and a few are 40% off.  So sit down with a cuppa and peruse the list with pleasure 🙂  Remember too, items on the Retired List are only available while stocks last OR until 31 August 2011 (whichever comes first).

I’m sad to see some of my favourite stamp sets on the list – Friends 24/7, Eastern Blooms, Pun Fun and the Extreme Guitar/Extreme Surfboard stamp sets.

But if you like Designer Series Paper and want to be prepared for Christmas this year – be excited!  Check out Jolly Holiday DSP – only $10.17 – that’s only $0.85 a sheet for 12 double sided sheets – BARGAIN!!  But hurry, this one is bound to fly off the warehouse shelves.

I’m also surprised to see some of the punches going 😦  and the Sanding Blocks (nooo!!) …

Anyhow, once you’ve made up your mind with what you “must have” (go on, you know you must!) – email me with your order at rachel.capps@yahoo.com.au.

Happy stamping 🙂

Belated Happy Mother’s Day

I hope all mum’s had a lovely day yesterday and were spoilt royally! 🙂  This is a card I made for my Mother-in-Law’s Mother’s Day card.  We had a relaxing day at home with my MIL and the kids 🙂

I was inspired to make this card by the talented Michelle Le-Breton.  You can see Michelle’s elegant card here.  This card was also one of the make-and-takes my guests made at my Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue launch.  I had a small group of lovely ladies (much smaller than usual), so I was able to spoil my guests with some extra nice accessories.  It was a fun night!

To make this card, we used the colours Rich Razzleberry, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White.  The WW background was textured using the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The damask stamp is from Friends 24-7, and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments (I love this versatile stamp set!). At the centre of the damask, we’ve punched out some Bella Rose DSP and then adhered it to a Build-a-Brad.  I love the touch of Kiwi Kiss with the Rich Razzleberry, don’t you?!  Here is a close up:

Last day of Sale-a-bration & Summer Mini

Well, today is the last day of Sale-a-bration and the Summer Mini.  If you haven’t yet received all the Sale-a-bration stamp sets you want, then today is your last chance to purchase $100 worth of product to earn one more Sale-a-bration stamp set on your wish list.  Please email me before 10.00pm today with your last Sale-a-bration order!

As promised, this is another card I made using the emboss resist technique.  I love the birdcage from Happy Moments that I’ve used on this card!  The birdcage is sooo sweeeet 🙂  And I also love the “hello” sentiment, from the Hello Again stamp set.  Today is also the last day of the Summer Mini Catalogue, and so it’s also the last day you can purchase Hello Again.  The flowers on the background were sparkled up with a touch of Tombow glue and some Olive Fine Supernova glitter – I love bling!

This is another card from the same class – I encourage trying different images and products in classes from what I have available.  In this card, I changed the Fine Supernova glitter to Orange.  Naturally, the Orange coordinates perfectly with this card!

Skater 16th birthday

This is another card I made for my God son’s birthday.  Skater boy!

I used by Wide Oval punch with a strip of DSP from the Simply Scrappin’ Kit Hoppy Memories for the skateboard.  I used diamond shaped brads (retired) for the skateboard trucks and Brilliant Blue buttons (retired) for the wheels.

The colours are Brilliant Blue and Basic Grey.  The DSP is Kaleidoscope from the current Summer Mini catalogue.  The “look who’s turning” is from the stamp set On Your Birthday, and the “16” is from Best Friends Numbers (retired).
