Gift Certificate

DSC01096

Do you know someone who loves Stampin’ Up! products?  Why not arrange a Gift Certificate for them for their next birthday or for Christmas?  This is a Gift Certificate holder I made recently … your friend could receive something like this!  How special will they feel?

And what could be really special?  Make your own!  I’ve used the colours Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery.  The stamp sets are One of a Kind and Fresh Cuts.  The ribbon is  Basic Grey taffeta.  And the punch is the gorgeous Eyelet Border punch.

Email me at rachel.capps@yahoo.com.au to arrange a Gift Certificate any time, anywhere in Australia.

More Sticky Cut Letters …

This is one of the cards we made at my recent Sticky Cut Letters class …

It was a great card because you could use the same cardstock in different layouts.  The stamp sets used are One of a Kind and Life Definitions and the DSP is Bella Rose.  Did you know that the small circles in Sticky Cut Letters fit a Build-a-Brad perfectly?  I’ve built a chunky brad using my Sticky Cut Letters, Build-a-Brad and Chunky glitter.

The colour combo is Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss.

So, what is your opinion?  Green glitter or pink glitter for this card?

Inspired Christmas wreath

Do you have blogs you like to visit all the time because they always inspire you?  Well, one of my favourite blogs is DOstamping with Dawn.  Dawn always inspires me with gorgeous cards and projects.  You should check her out here.  But today, this card was inspired by Dawn’s post here.

I have used the stamp sets Together Forever, One of a Kind and Short and Sweet in this card.  The colours are Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss and Handsome Hunter.  I have used textured cardstock which lends a real elegance to the card in real life.  And the ribbon?  Ahh … something on my wishlist for sooo long – Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla wide striped grosgrain.  It will be available for purchase in Australia on 1 August when the Spring Mini starts.  Contact me if you want some too!

I love cards with Christmas wreaths.  I had a tutorial in my newsletter this month on how to recreate this wreath with the Boho Blossoms punch, Scallop Circle punch and 1″ Circle punch.  If you would like to learn new tips, then you should join my newsletter to see what my tutorial is next month!  Click on the box in the top right hand corner.  Here is a close up of the wreath:

Wonderful Friend’s Birthday

Yesterday it was one of my wonderful friend’s birthday – Michele.  Michele has been a wonderful friend for so long now, including being one of my bridesmaids, but Michele is also a fellow stamper!  A true kindred spirit!!  You can see her gorgeous creations here.  Michele and her husband put on a great family BBQ as always – it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon with them celebrating a special day.  Thanks, Michele & Dave!  And “Happy Birthday” again, Michele!

Naturally, I had to make an extra special birthday card for Michele and this was it …

And a close up is here too …

I’ve used the stamps En Francais, Wonderful Favourites, So Many Sayings and not so noticeable on the bottom of the card One of a Kind.  The colours are Sahara Sand and Bashful Blue (blue is a colour I always think suits Michele as she has lovely blue eyes!).  I also used the gorgeous styled silver hodgepodge from this months’ Spring Mini with white taffeta ribbon.  I coloured in each letter of the phrase “make a wish” with my marker pens … not sure I’m 100% happy with that, perhaps I should have stuck to neutral colours there.  What do you think?

One of a Kind Make and Take

I’m loving using my One of a Kind stamp set and the coordinating Boho Blossoms punch.  Have you noticed?!! I can’t believe I nearly didn’t buy it!

This is one of the cards we made at my Spring Mini Catalogue Launch Party at the beginning of the week.  This was the original card I based the make and take on which used Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla and Soft Sky cardstock.

And then when I cut the cardstock for the make and take I forgot to use Very Vanilla and used Whisper White instead !!  So, this is what the card looks like using Whisper White (and Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon instead of the stitched grosgrain):

I let my guests choose which ribbon and rhinestone brads they preferred to use from a selection.  A lot of my guests used the Blue Bayou stitched grosgrain ribbon and that looked lovely as well!

Do you prefer the Whisper White or Very Vanilla?  And do you prefer the stitched grosgrain or taffeta ribbon?  I’d love to know!
