Do you know someone who loves Stampin’ Up! products? Why not arrange a Gift Certificate for them for their next birthday or for Christmas? This is a Gift Certificate holder I made recently … your friend could receive something like this! How special will they feel?
And what could be really special? Make your own! I’ve used the colours Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery. The stamp sets are One of a Kind and Fresh Cuts. The ribbon is Basic Grey taffeta. And the punch is the gorgeous Eyelet Border punch.
This is one of the cards we made at my recent Sticky Cut Letters class …
It was a great card because you could use the same cardstock in different layouts. The stamp sets used are One of a Kind and Life Definitions and the DSP is Bella Rose. Did you know that the small circles in Sticky Cut Letters fit a Build-a-Brad perfectly? I’ve built a chunky brad using my Sticky Cut Letters, Build-a-Brad and Chunky glitter.
The colour combo is Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss.
This is a close up of the flower embellishment:
So, what is your opinion? Green glitter or pink glitter for this card?
Do you have blogs you like to visit all the time because they always inspire you? Well, one of my favourite blogs is DOstamping with Dawn. Dawn always inspires me with gorgeous cards and projects. You should check her out here. But today, this card was inspired by Dawn’s post here.
I have used the stamp sets Together Forever, One of a Kind and Short and Sweet in this card. The colours are Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss and Handsome Hunter. I have used textured cardstock which lends a real elegance to the card in real life. And the ribbon? Ahh … something on my wishlist for sooo long – Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla wide striped grosgrain. It will be available for purchase in Australia on 1 August when the Spring Mini starts. Contact me if you want some too!
I love cards with Christmas wreaths. I had a tutorial in my newsletter this month on how to recreate this wreath with the Boho Blossoms punch, Scallop Circle punch and 1″ Circle punch. If you would like to learn new tips, then you should join my newsletter to see what my tutorial is next month! Click on the box in the top right hand corner. Here is a close up of the wreath:
Yesterday it was one of my wonderful friend’s birthday – Michele. Michele has been a wonderful friend for so long now, including being one of my bridesmaids, but Michele is also a fellow stamper! A true kindred spirit!! You can see her gorgeous creations here. Michele and her husband put on a great family BBQ as always – it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon with them celebrating a special day. Thanks, Michele & Dave! And “Happy Birthday” again, Michele!
Naturally, I had to make an extra special birthday card for Michele and this was it …
And a close up is here too …
I’ve used the stamps En Francais, Wonderful Favourites, So Many Sayings and not so noticeable on the bottom of the card One of a Kind. The colours are Sahara Sand and Bashful Blue (blue is a colour I always think suits Michele as she has lovely blue eyes!). I also used the gorgeous styled silver hodgepodge from this months’ Spring Mini with white taffeta ribbon. I coloured in each letter of the phrase “make a wish” with my marker pens … not sure I’m 100% happy with that, perhaps I should have stuck to neutral colours there. What do you think?
I’m loving using my One of a Kind stamp set and the coordinating Boho Blossoms punch. Have you noticed?!! I can’t believe I nearly didn’t buy it!
This is one of the cards we made at my Spring Mini Catalogue Launch Party at the beginning of the week. This was the original card I based the make and take on which used Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla and Soft Sky cardstock.
And then when I cut the cardstock for the make and take I forgot to use Very Vanilla and used Whisper White instead !! So, this is what the card looks like using Whisper White (and Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon instead of the stitched grosgrain):
I let my guests choose which ribbon and rhinestone brads they preferred to use from a selection. A lot of my guests used the Blue Bayou stitched grosgrain ribbon and that looked lovely as well!
Do you prefer the Whisper White or Very Vanilla? And do you prefer the stitched grosgrain or taffeta ribbon? I’d love to know!
A very special member of the team I work with left us last week to move to the sunny shores of the Gold Coast and so she could complete her law studies full time. She will be sorely missed! This is the card I made for our team to sign. There are few people I think I could stamp the words “One of a Kind” on a card for … but Brie is one of those people!
I’ve used the retired Headline Alphabet for the word FAREWELL (thanks for lending it to me, Cherie!). I then cut out each letter and covered each letter with Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds and stuck them on with Dimensionals.
Here are some close ups …
The background stamp is En Francais and “you are one of a kind” comes from One of a Kind (in the current Spring Mini Catalogue), sponged around the edges. The colours are gorgeous … Purely Pomegranate textured cardstock and Pretty in Pink.
And to finish it off … a beautiful Styled Silver Hodgepodge frame (again, from the current Spring Mini Catalogue).
It was my mother-in-law’s birthday yesterday so I made a special card because she’s really special. This is it …
This is the first card I have used the new Purely Pomegranate wide satin ribbon (available in the mini catalogue) and the whole card grew from my having to use this beautiful ribbon on the card. Then I found a fabulous card on Splitcoaststampers and it was my inspiration for all the rest … check out the other card here.
I used the stamp set One of a Kind with its coordinating Boho Blossoms punch, and the other stamp sets are Wonderful Words and Everyday Flexible Phrases. There is some gorgeous Silver Styled Hodgepodge Hardware (which I think looks stunning on cards!) and I’m starting to be brave and use my Crystal Effects (with Dazzling Diamonds) too.
We will be using One of a Kind with its coordinating Boho Blossoms punch at my Spring Mini Catalogue Launch Party tonight … so come along and have a play! Email me now to book your place.
Here are some close ups:
I sponged around the edges of the Regal Rose cardstock with Regal Rose ink.
And I paper pierced around the edge of the Very Vanilla cardstock.
